"Oh, really!?” I pretended not to be interested, meanwhile my heart was beating faster.

"Yeah. I didn't pick up because I know that it's probably not for the best. I was tempted to but I realized that this wouldn't go through. I don't know." He whispered but I nodded.

"Yeah, yeah. I understand that. Do you think that there would be something that he really needs to pass across to you?"

"No, not really. I don't want to talk to him or do you want me to?"

"No, why does he want to talk to you now that we have our lives in order? Does he want to say that he needs to tell me something so important? Anything that he wants to say can wait. I don't want to speak to him or have any contact with him."

"Exactly what I thought. Well, that's not easy because that would mean that I would be giving him attention. I don't like him one bit." Trent agreed and I stared at him softly. There might be a reason why he was staring at me this way.
