Chapter 16 What Happened?

Mu Yu thought she was hallucinating from the influence of alcohol. She shook her head vigorously. Then, she stared at Qin Jinhuan.

　　　　

“Hello, Mr. Qin.” Yin Xiaotian, who was an employee of the Qing Tian Group, hurried over to greet Qin Jinhuan.

　　　　

Qin Jinhuan carefully helped Mu Yu to her feet and nodded slightly at Yin Xiaotian as he explained, “Something happened at the company, that’s why I couldn’t make it in time to your wedding with Yu. My apologies.”

Mu Yu looked past her mother and met Xin Yihan’s inquiring gaze. She panicked and wanted to shake her head, but Qin Jinhuan pulled her head into his embrace. Then, he greeted Hu Meiling and Mu Ziyao politely. “Uncle, Auntie, I was planning to pay both of you a visit within the next two days. When would it be convenient for you?”

“That’s great.” Qin Jinhuan paused and looked at Mu Yu. There was a change in his tone. “Yu had too much to drink. I will take her home first.”

　　　　

“Okay, sure, please take good care of Yu.”

　　　　

“Sure,” Qin Jinhuan said and carefully helped Mu Yu out of the wedding hall.

　　　　

Although Mu Yu understood that he was saving her face, she didn't think that someone like him who always had something under his sleeves would not help her in vain. So, she wanted to break away from him.

　　　　

However, Qin Jinhuan didn’t loosen his grip on her. With a smile on his face, he leaned toward her and whispered, “Do you want to ruin your parent’s reputation?”

Mu Yu quietly withdrew her hand. She covered her face with her hands and sobbed.

Hearing the disdain in his voice, Mu Yu was very angry and she tried to defend Xin Yihan. “Brother Yihan was indeed a courier when he first came to An City. However, he’s now the owner of the delivery company and he owns many factories. He…”

The driver, Huang Bo, instinctively slammed on the brakes. The next second, Qin Jinhuan ordered loudly, “Didn’t I say to go to Prosperous Manor?”

After seeing Mu Yu get out of the car, he motioned for Huang Bo to continue driving. He took off his jacket that was drenched with Mu Yu’s tears and snot. Then, he threw the jacket aside.

“What?” Huang Bo slammed on the brakes and asked with a hesitant tone. “Boss, you are going in the wrong direction.”

　　　　

“Turn the car around!”

“Yes, sir.” Huang Bo peeked at his boss through the rearview mirror and understood his instructions. He quickly turned the car around and drove in the opposite direction, stopping the car at the spot where he let Mu Yu get off.

At this moment, Mu Yu was crouching and vomiting in the lawn.

　　　　

“You are really polluting the good environment of An City,” Qin Jinhuan said as he handed her a wet wipe.

　　　　

Mu Yu ignored his words. She took the wet wipe to wipe her face. Then, she covered her face and cried again.
