Chapter 8

Ethan’s POV

I saw her passing out in my arms which scared me like hell. I repeated few lines again and again, "No, I can’t lose. No, I can’t lose her again, I won’t lose her."

I immediately took her to the hospital and told the doctor to admit her. I ordered them to give her ‘THE BEST’ treatment. She was admitted. The doctor told me, “She is very weak and she needs to rest a lot.”

Liam who was standing beside me was seeing me and was worried for me. He has never seen his boss like this, worried for someone, no, NEVER. He knew the reason why Ethan is behaving like this.

Liam got a call, he excused himself to pick the call. Liam came back and gave the phone to me. After hearing few minutes i and Liam went outside the hospital and left with our cars.

‘If it wasn’t for some important business issues in America, I won’t have left sight of Emily, even for a second. That bastard was lucky, I wasn’t there with her otherwise I would have made them pay then and there for hurting her.’

‘Although I was not there with her, I had my man with her. I ordered them to see what that bastard, slut, and their family will do to my Emily. I got the information from my man. My man would have killed them with the one blink of my eyes but won’t that be a small punishment for them. They have to cry and beg with Emily as she did.’

‘I got to know how that bastard slapped her, insult her, dragged her, pulled her hair, and forced her to give her kidney to that slut. How her parents shouted at her, slapped her. I got to know about how that slut tried to behave sweet, stabbed herself, and blamed my Emily.’

‘Emily was ready to kill herself again. She tried to stab herself with a knife, how helpless she might have felt? When I heard about kidney transplants, it touched my bottom line. She wasn’t ready to give her kidney, they no wait that bastard forced her for that slut.’

‘I went back to the hospital and took her with me. I gave them chance to improve their relationship with her but what did they do? They broke her even more.’

‘I know my priority should be Emily and she is, but I had to handle the issues. If Emily was awake she would have asked me to go and handle the situation. After all, it was the matter of lives and death, more than of thousand people.’

‘I still remember the first time I saw her. She was, is, and will be light for my darkness. She is my life, if something will happen to her I won't be able to live. No, no, I can’t let anything happen to her. She is with me now, and I won’t allow anyone to hurt her. I will take her pain and give all my happiness to her. I promise.’

'I am going crazy, I want to know how did they torture her? What did they do to her? Yesterday when I saw her in her sleeping, she was fine but after some time, I heard some sound of crying. I don’t know why but my foot automatically went to her room to see her.'

'When I entered the room, the scene in front of me stopped my heartbeat. Seeing her crying and hiding inside the blanket, broke my heart. She was trembling. I stepped forward and I heard her voice. I froze after hearing her.'

“No, no, don’t come near me. I didn’t do anything, please don’t beat me. I beg you, I beg you please.”

‘Please don’t beat me.’, her words were ringing in my mind. I was not able to move. I was too shocked to see her like this and her words made my heart bleed.’

‘Wait beat her, they used to beat her, and to what extent do they beat her that she is having a nightmare and trembling like hell.'

I came out of my thoughts and said in a low voice, "She is having a nightmare, I need to do something."

'I laid on the bed and hugged her from behind. Hah, we were cuddling, I didn’t ask her about marriage and yet we were cuddling here. I would love to see her reaction tomorrow.'

‘She relaxed when I cuddled with her. I was in a happy mood when I saw her relaxing by my touch. I was staring at her like a creep. God, she will be the reason for my death. She is so pretty, her skin is so soft. I felt my eyes getting heavy. I gladly welcomed my sleep. We slept together, holding in each other.’
