Chapter 11

It’s been two days and Emily is nowhere to be found. Abhay is going crazy. He did everything he could do to find her but to his disappointment, she is nowhere.

It’s like the earth swallowed her.

Abhay is in the Mehra's Co-operation it is his family business and he is the heir. Abhay is the CEO of the Mehra's Co-operation.

Abhay is sitting in his office while his assistant Alex Miller is giving him the information about some deal but Abhay is too busy in his thought to hear Alex.

“Alex, did you find her?” Abhay asked in a low voice.

Alex who was informing Abhay about the deal was taken aback. He paused for a minute before replying to Abhay. “I’m sorry sir, but we couldn’t find her and we are not able to find any information about Miss Emily.”

To Alex, it looked like the earth has swallowed Emily. She is nowhere to be found.

Abhay is sitting quietly in his chair. Suddenly he stood up from his chair and wiped down his table from both of his hands. All the papers fell from the desk.

He was in a rage.

‘Miss Emily’ Abhay remembered Liam’s word.

“Hello Mr., I’m Liam Johnson and I’m here to tell you that from now on Miss Emily has nothing to do with you, the Mehra family, or the Roy family itself. She isn’t Emily Roy but only Miss Emily and soon-to-be Mrs.” This were Liam’s words.

‘She isn’t Emily Roy but only Miss Emily and soon to be Mrs.’

Abhay is lost in his thoughts and is trying to convince himself about Emily.

‘Soon to be Mrs. Is she married? Did he marry her? No, no, no, she can’t marry him or anyone. How can she marry someone who isn’t me? Didn’t she love me? She always said that she loves me. Yes, yes, she can’t marry him or anyone else. She is mine. She loves me and she will be mine. Only I can marry her and make her mine.’

‘But why can’t I find her? Where are you, Emily?’

Whereas Alex who is standing quietly felt bad in his heart. He was very sad. He felt wrong in his heart for him and for Emily too. It was hard for him to control himself.

Abhay shouted at Alex, “What are you guys doing for two days? Alex, you can’t even find a girl? What’s the use of this much money and power when I can’t find her?”

“What do you think we are doing? We are trying to find her. She isn’t just your fiancé’s sister but she is my sister too. We didn’t share the same blood but she used to call me brother. I’m her brother and she is my sister which I never had. I lost my sister because of you Abhay.” Alex roared at Abhay.

He had enough of Abhay and Mia. After all, because of them, Emily was willing to kill herself. He nearly lost his sister. He can’t lose his sister again.

“How dare you talk to me like that Alex?” Abhay was already angry Alex's words made it worst.

“How dare I? I can and I will. I’m not just your assistant but a brother and a friend. I’m your friend and Emily’s brother right now.” Alex replied to Abhay.

“Why are you trying to find her?” Alex asked Abhay.

Alex didn’t get any reply from Abhay. He asked him again, “Why are you trying to find her now?”

“Because Mia needs……….” Before Abhay could finish his sentence Alex interrupted him. “Oooh come on don’t say that Mia needs Emily. Mia doesn’t need Emily it’s you who needs Emily.”

“Come on tell me why are you trying to find her now when you already found another donator for Mia?” Alex asked Abhay.

“It’s none of your business Alex,” Abhay replied.

“Of course it’s of my business. It’s about my sister. You are trying to find my sister. Didn’t you hate her? You always wanted her to stay away from you and your fiancé. Aren’t you guys happy now? She is away far away from both of you or maybe she is dead.” Alex said in anger. His eyes were full of hate.

Abhay was shocked to hear Alex.

His heart was asking one question to him, ‘Is Emily dead?’
