CHAPTER TWENTY
Ethan's POV
I looked in my binoculars. Falcon, my new partner, is already in the lobby of the hotel. He's waiting for my signal before he proceeds to the tenth floor of the building.
"Do we have visuals, Wolf?" He whispered and drank his canned soda.
"Negative. Just stay in there." I replied and focused on the hallway of the tenth floor.
Our backup team was waiting for my signal too. Their van was just outside the hotel.
Our mission is to capture the boss of the third largest drug cartel in the Philippines.
We've got an intelligence report that he will be staying in that hotel after his flight from Mexico.
CHAPTER TWENTY ONE Ethan’s POV “We lost her car, Sir.” Simone, one of Jessica’s bodyguards said. I dropped the call and tried to call my girl but she was declining it. What is it this time, Jessica? “Shit. My body is sore already.” Jacob said and grabbed the bottle of water. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Jessica ran away from his guards again and she's not answering my calls. Shit!" I massaged my nape. "Call her best friend. They are always together." He suggested while removing his combat shoes. "I tried but her phone was off." I said and sat on the
CHAPTER TWENTY TWO Jessica’s POV Marcus van was bigger than mine. It was like a minibus type of van. I actually like it. "Your Mom invited me for dinner this weekend." He said while driving. He told me that his driver was sick so he didn't have a choice but to drive us to Batangas. It will be a three hour drive. I removed my eye mask because of what he said and pulled myself from his comfy air bed. What?! "I'm sorry, Marcus. You know my Mom. You declined her invitation, right?" I asked, hoping for him to say yes. I saw him looking at the rear view mi
CHAPTER TWENTY THREE Jessica’s POV We went straight to our family house. It was a thirty minute drive from our set location. "How was your project in Cebu?" I asked to break the silence between us. He removed his jacket and sat on the swing. I walked at his back and embraced my arms around his neck. "Everything went well. Jake had to stay to finish some minor changes in our plans. How about your taekwondo class? What's your schedule?" He asked and held on to my arm. I kissed his cheek. "I'll practice there two times a week. The place is more spacious than
CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR Jessica’s POV I suddenly woke up when I felt someone touch my face. I saw Marcus looking down at me. His eyes were red and tired. I hurriedly stood up but he held on both of my shoulders, making me fall back on the folding bed. "Marcus what are you doing?" I asked softly, not wanting to make a scene. "Why can't you like me? Is there someone else in your life that I don't know?" He asked in a hard tone. "Marcus, you're still drunk! Let's talk about it later, okay? Calm down and lower down your voice. Someone might hear you." I said a
CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE Jessica’s POV Ethan was holding my hand while we walked inside the mall. His other hand was busy holding his phone as he read something that made his eyebrows form into one line. "Ethan." I called him when he suddenly stopped walking. His eyes were still fixed on his phone. "I'm sorry, babe. It's really important." He said and let go of my hand. He answered a call while looking at me. I took a deep breath and walked inside a dress boutique. I was wearing a mask so the sales lady didn't recognize me.
CHAPTER TWENTY SIX Jessica’s POV Ethan’s jaw clenched as I finished telling him what really happened. I could see that he was trying so hard to be calm. "You won't be seeing him again from now on." He said sternly. I gulped. "Simone, drive faster." He said and looked outside the window. "Yes, Sir Ethan." I saw Simone looking at us in the rearview mirror. I didn't dare to speak again and just busied myself on replying to Fabio. He was furious too. 'Five channel networks want to have an interview with you. Just tell me that you don't want to answer that lying idiot and I will turn them down now.' Fabio texted. I cursed under my breath. Mom and I did everything for my career and I couldn't believe that this issue would snatch away all of our hard work. I clear away the lump in my throat. I felt
CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN Ethan’s POV Cindy fetched Jessica from my house. I remind my girlfriend to wear her necklace where I put the tracking device. She has no idea about it. It's for her own good. Jacob sat beside me and handed his table to me. "That's all the information I get. Sorry, but the Chief removed us from the case. He said it's too personal for you." He said and drank from the bottle of beer. The hell it is! "Mendez is one of the reasons why I'm here in this dangerous group. I won't sit around here getting lame reports from them." I said while reading the report about the recent kidnapping case.
CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT Jessica’s POV "Good morning." I bow down to them when they stop in front of me. "Good morning, Jessy. Please meet our grandmaster, Mr. Wilfredo Elizalde. Sir, she's our new student here." Sir Alex introduced us. I smiled at them. "Welcome, Jessy. I hope you learn more in our school." Mr. Elizalde said. He has this serious awra even though he's smiling. "Do you usually go here this early? You are." Mr. Elizalde paused to look at his wrist watch. "Two hours early. Come join us for a cup of coffee." He added and tapped Sir Alex's shoulder.
"You even called him baby! Do you know how much I restrained myself from punching him earlier?" he said and squeezed his penis. I'm nervous. Is it the other way around? I must have been angry but I lost everything I had to say when I saw his forehead furrowed. "I'm a jealous person Jessy! You know that! That's what you're still using on me!" annoyed he said and turned his back on me. I couldn’t stop him anymore when he left and left me. Am I overdoing it? ** Ethan's POV Annoyed I went back inside, at their table Mommy I go. She's really trying my patience.
Ethan's POV We were on our way home and Jessy and Mommy were asleep in the back seat. "Son, don't you know that your brother is dating you?" dad asked. I looked at him and shook my head. "P-po? Ahm, no dad. Why?" I will ask. "Nothing son, you know, your brother can't take it anymore. I don't know if I'll be glad he hasn't been introduced to us yet but I think he's hiding something." he said and looked at Mommy. "I'm not sure." my answer. I was suddenly nervous, as if Dad knew something. Until we got to the mansion Dad didn't ask any more questions. Dad just told me to carry Jessy to
Why so charming Ethan? I'm your boyfriend but it still hasn't faded. Just a smile, I'm still thrilled. I giggled as he pinched my waist as we sat on the couch. He lifted my thigh and placed it on his lap. "And for the record, I am so proud of you sweetheart. You, being my Jessy is enough for me, but being Black Mamba? You're amazing." he said and took my hand and kissed it. He is so sweet, I don't know how to hide my excitement so I pulled his neck and kissed him. This foxxy is mine. So if you plan to kidnap him then think twice. I am a tough opponent. ------------------------ Ethan's POV "Is Ethan
"What are you doing? Are you serious?" he whispered to me. "Quiet." I answered and pushed him into my car. "Sir, he's just on the mobile with the others caught." stop me one. "I'll take him. I'll go first." I said seriously and entered. Jessy slapped me on the arm. "You're really going to catch me Ethan!" he shouted. I grinned and started the car. "Stop this car! I hate you!" he shouted. I smiled when I looked at him. Who would have thought he was Black Mamba? I broke down remembering what he did earlier.
Jessica’s POVI rolled down my car’s window and smiled at the guard."Hello, Ma'am Jessica. Ms. Cindy is waiting for you inside. Let me take care of your car." He smiled warmly and opened the door for me.“Hi. Thank you." I said, accepting his hand as he helped me out of the car. This poison ivy dress was giving me a hard time, hugging a little tighter than I remembered. I sighed, recalling the extra pound or two I had gained recently.I looked around the block, scanning the area to see if my bodyguards had followed me. No familiar faces stood out, but I noticed a few men in white uniforms checking the cars that were passing by this large imposing house. Something about their watchful eyes made me feel slightly uneasy.“This way, Ma’am.” a middle-aged man said, gesturing toward the grand entrance. His tone was respectful, yet firm. I nodded, gathering the fabric of my dress, and followed him inside. My eyes widened as I took in the elegant pathway leading to the garden. God! This hou
Jessica’s POVI was on the other side of the door while Cindy’s trying to open it with our old password lock pin. She took out her phone. I bet she will call me so I open the door with a straight face. I'm just controlling my emotions while holding a glass of red wine. I don’t want to burst out crying infront of her.I want her to let me in. To tell me the truth because I’m her friend. She is my sister.“Hi. You changed the password?" She asked. I drink from my glass so I will have more courage. I gave her space to walk in.I went to the bar area and poured her a glass of wine."Cindy Anne Lopez. Am I a friend to you?" I calmly asked when I handed her the glass.A line appeared between her brows."What? Jessy you are like a sister to me. You know that. Now, what's your problem?" She dropped her bag and tried to get the glass off of me.I stepped back two times and glanced up to the ceiling.I remembered the first time that I saw her. "Almost eight years ago. Mom introduced you to me
Ethan's POV I gently touched the bruise on her left shoulder. She looked up at me and smiled. "That was from my taekwondo lesson. Stop over thinking." She laughed and stroked my hair. This girl knows me so well. "I don't need any guard following me around." She started again. Of course you do. As long as the Mendez group is at large you will never be safe without me by your side. I wanted to say out loud but controlled myself. I don't want to scare her. "Then stay with me. Live with me." I said seriously. Her mouth opened but she didn't say any words. "I'm serious. No guards as long as you stay with me. I'll be your driver, your assistant, chef? I will be whatever you want me to be. Come on, tell me." I tried to lighten up the mood. "I just need you to trust me. That's all I want from you. I'm not a child anymore. I don't need anyone's guidance." She said smiling but with tears in her eyes. I wiped away the pain from her beautiful face. "I trust you, baby. I just love you s
Jessica's POV I went straight to the shooting range after the meeting. I felt like I was holding a big air inside my chest that I needed to let out. I didn't imagine Cindy's childhood to be like that. She never told me anything about her past. I sighed and looked at the guns on the wall. I need to practice more. "Hey." I looked at my back and saw Phoenix walking up to me. I got the guns and handed them to her. Centaur's not around to help me this time but I need Phoenix's hard way of teaching. Somehow, I could vent my stress to her. Maybe because we are both girls. "Please teach me how to use two guns at once." I said. Her eyes fixed to mine. She accepted the guns and checked its magazine. "You have to watch me once. I need to go somewhere." She said and entered the cubicle on my left side. I put on the ear plugs, readying myself. She positioned herself so
CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE Ethan's POV "I'm sorry, boss. We lost her. She banned us from entering the building." Simone said. I threw away the folder that I was holding. My assistant ran and picked up the papers from the floor. "Is she even wearing her necklace? The tracking device on her car is gone too!" I shouted and ended the call. I hurriedly called Jessica but her phone was dead. Fuck! She really likes it when I'm fuming mad! "B-boss E.T should I reschedule the monthly meeting? The engineers and architects are waiting in the conference room." Irina said. "Don't. I will ask Arch. Jacob to replace me. I hav
