Now, let's talk about The Alpha's Spoiled Mate and how it came into existence. One day, I was browsing W*****d and came across a werewolf romance with an age-gap trope. While the story had potential, it had several loopholes that left me unsatisfied. This sparked the idea to write my own version, incorporating various writing tropes and conflicts to create a more compelling narrative.

I believe that reading a wide range of books is essential for any author. It helps me come up with fresh ideas and explore new angles for my stories.

Why didn’t the moon goddess help Cole find Nikki?

There’s a limit to how much any god can interfere in the mortal world, and this applies to Emma/Selena as well. Moreover, Nikki and Cole needed to face their challenges on their own to grow and prove they were worthy of being the king and queen of werewolves. This was their test.

Why was Maria, the first daughter of the moon goddess and leader of the dark witches, always jealous of Nikki?

Maria was adored by the moon goddess and other gods, while Nikki, born a little weaker but with a special purpose, received extra attention from the moon goddess. This attention, which Maria coveted, led to her jealousy and ultimately her dark actions—taking over the body of the dark witch leader and targeting Nikki after she was born in the mortal world.

How could Cole kill a member of his pack so mercilessly?

Some readers were concerned about Cole's harsh treatment of a pack member who shared information with the rogues. Cole didn't kill her solely for sharing the information; he did so because she betrayed her pack, which is considered an act of war. Cole tortured her to extract all the information she had given to the rogues to protect his pack. According to werewolf laws set by the council, betrayal is punishable by death, and that’s why Cole executed her.

Why did our favorite character, Trevor, have to die?

Trevor's death was a pivotal moment in the story. It underscored the high stakes of the conflict and his unwavering loyalty. His sacrifice highlighted the dangers they all faced and fueled Cole’s determination to protect his mate and pack. Trevor’s role was crucial as he took care of Nikki in Cole’s absence and provided initial support during the war with rogues, vampires, and dark witches.

Why does Cole go into heat?

This question comes up often from both readers and fellow authors. Typically, only female wolves or humans experience heat, but in my story, I chose to have the Alpha male go through heat as well. This was done to emphasize the importance of continuing the bloodline. In many werewolf romance novels, authors depict the mates' bond as so strong that they become physically affected after a fight. It’s all up to the author’s choice, and I decided to explore this in my story.

A little-known fact about this book is that it has gone through nearly four rounds of editing. Every time I reread it, I find more areas to improve. Currently, the book is undergoing its fifth revision.

Through this process, I’ve learned that no book is ever perfect—there’s always room for improvement. So never hesitate to ruthlessly edit your book, because the more you edit it, the more it will sign in readers' eyes. I plan to write another book with a similar trope, but with different characters fully edited, and publish it on the Novellair app. The new book will be titled The Alpha’s Sacred Mate.
