Chapter 40 He Xiaoyu Was Looking for Trouble

For the sake of Li Mu, Li Wan compromised and allowed He Xiaoyu to stay in the same hotel as them.

The companies booked two standard rooms for them. Knowing that they would live next to each other, Lin Wan felt uncomfortable and insisted on changing their room to a luxurious suite.

After checking-in and entering the room, Lin Wan tossed their luggage aside and lay sideways on the bed. Then, she stared at Li Mu full of feeling.

“What? Are you trying to seduce me?”

Laughing, Li Mu walked up to her.

Lin Wan was extremely attractive. Her delicate curve sent Li Mu going crazy, especially her pretty face and her gorgeous hair. Eyes half-closed, she licked her red lips with the tip of her tongue.

Although she was just lying on the bed, the aura she exuded was no joke. No longer being able to hold himself back, Li Mu threw himself on her.

After having an intimate session, Lin Wan wanted to go shopping with Li Mu.

As soon as they left their room, He Xiaoyu came out from her room with a vague smile. Upon seeing them, she pretended to be surprised, “Oh, Mrs. Lin, what a coincidence. I didn’t know we’re neighbors.”

Lin Wan was speechless. Why was He Xiaoyu here? It seemed like she heard what happened earlier. Ashamed, Lin Wan’s face flushed.

He Xiaoyu was so annoyed. Why would she insist on staying next to their room? How shameless.

However, Lin Wan did not want to argue with her in front of Li Mu. Letting out a hum, she walked away hand in hand with Li Mu.

He Xiaoyu smiled and followed closely after them.

At first, Lin Wan tried to ignore her. After all, she could not stop He Xiaoyu from coming out of her room just because she hated her.

So, she simply let her follow them around. She would be the one who would feel awkward as that third wheel anyway.

Gradually, Lin Wan’s patience wore thin. Her gaze towards He Xiaoyu became more and more unfriendly.

Instead of following them around quietly, He Xioayu kept challenging her patience everywhere and every time.

For example, Lin Wan got her eyes on a suit and asked Li Mu for his opinion after trying it on.

He Xiaoyu would put on the same suit and asked Li Mu in a sweet voice, “Li Mu, do I look good?”

When Lin Wan bought a couple of rings that she liked, He Xiaoyu would buy the exact ring as well.

Then, she would take the men’s ring and let Li Mu try it on. What a little b*tch.

Li Mu was about to die of awkwardness.

The emotion he was feeling was indescribable.

He wondered when exactly the two girls would stop arguing.

Finally, it was dinner time. Quickly, Li Mu suggested, “Honey, let’s stop shopping. Are you hungry? Let’s go for dinner. What do you want to eat? It’s on me.”

“Western food!” Immediately, Lin Wan answered.

“Local food!” He Xiaoyu’s voice rang out at the same time.

Here they went again. Li Mu felt a headache creeping upon him. Giving He Xiaoyu a look, he said, “Xiaoyu, let’s go for western food. I heard there’s a famous western food restaurant nearby. I’ll buy big ice cream.”

After all, Li Mu and Lin Wan were married. He Xiaoyu knew when to quit. Otherwise, she might embarrass herself.

Seeing He Xiaoyu keeping silent, Lin Wan cast her a triumphant glance. In the face of Lin Wan’s smug look, He Xiaoyu was discontented.

Soon, they arrived at the restaurant. The waiter, who was standing in front of the entrance, politely opened the door for them.

“How many, sir?”

“Two!” Without hesitation, Lin Wan answered.

Patting Lin Wan’s hand, Li Mu awkwardly told the waiter, “Three!”

After all, He Xiaoyu was his subordinate. He had to bring her along for dinner.

After taking their seats, the waiter handed them the menu.

Immediately, Li Mu grabbed the menu and uttered, “Let me decide what to eat. Both of you go with what I order.”

Curious, the waiter looked at them and pays more attention to the two women. Seeming to have understood something, he put on an ambiguous smile.

Quickly looking through the menu, Li Mu ordered, “Give me three Australian Black Pepper Steaks, well done!”

“Three French Roasted Snails!”

“Three six-inch Fruit Pizzas!”

After ordering a few dishes, the waiter recommended them a menu, “Sir, we’re having a promotion for our Australian Lobster now. Would you like to try them out?”

“Alright. Give me three of them!” Li Mu responded.

“Three?” Unsure, the waiter asked.

“Yes. Give me three servings of every order. Oh, also, give me three vodkas topped with blueberry ice cream!”

“Do you want to get yourself drunk?” Lin Wan rolled her eyes at him. Then, she said to the waiter, “Don’t listen to him. Just one.”

Carefully, the waiter uttered, “Why don’t I get you guys a bigger table?”

He never served someone who ordered so much food before. Li Mu ordered three servings for each order so that two women would not argue anymore.

That meal must have cost a fortune. However, Lin Wan’s main concern was not about the money. She thought it was a waste of food. Hence, she kept glaring at Li Mu.

Yet Li Mu did not care at all. All of them had their own order, and he would not have to worry about He Xiaoyu either. It was worth spending more money on that mean.

There was only one man among the three of them. Of course, they could not finish their food, especially the two women. Left with no choice, Li Mu had to finish their leftovers.

Soon after, Li Mu was full. Even one portion was enough for three servings. It was impossible he could stuff all the food into his stomach.

In the end, they asked the waiter to pack everything up and went back to the hotel.

After entering their room, Lin Wan complained to Li Mu. Smiling, Li Mu listened to her. Then, he said, “Let’s take a rest now. We can have a candlelight dinner if we get hungry in the middle of the night. How romantic!”

“You still have room for food? I’m too full. I don’t even need to have breakfast tomorrow morning.”

“Of course, you won’t get hungry if you don’t do some exercise. Try to work up a sweat. I’m sure you will feel hungry later.”

“Exercise? What kind of exercise?” Confused, Lin Wan asked.

Pointing to the bed, Li Mu gave her a lecherous look, “The exercise we did just now!”

Lin Wan nearly snapped at him. He Xiaoyu was staying right next to them. It would be so embarrassing if she heard them.

On second thought, it was normal for her and her husband to sleep together. She did not have to care about He Xiaoyu at all.

Thinking of that, she teased Li Mu softly, “Honey, take a shower with me!”

No doubt, Li Mu was willing to serve her. Picking Lin Wan up, he walked towards the bathroom. Her laughter filled every corner of the room.

Before they could even enter the bathroom, several knocks suddenly rang out from the door. It was as though someone was going to do a spot check on them.

Without a doubt, it must be He Xiaoyu. What the hell was she up to now?!

Li Mu cursed lowly. On the other hand, Lin Wan seemed calm. She already expected this to happen. He Xiaoyu was already being nice to them for not knocking on the door after they undress.

Giving Li Mu a slight push, Lin Wan said softly, “Go and open the door for her. People might think we’re having an affair.”

Walking out of the bathroom, Li Mu opened the door discontentedly. Indeed, He Xiaoyu was standing in front of the door with a laptop in her hands.

“Are you trying to break our door?!” Li Mu reprimanded.

“Li Mu, it’s time for our meeting!” Expressionless, He Xiaoyu said.

She was raging. How dared they want to be intimate when she was living right next to them?

“What meeting?” Confused, Li Mu asked.

“Do you think you’re really on a honeymoon? We have to discuss the final price with Mr. Yan.”

“I thought we already talked about this yesterday? We even printed the quotation. What else is there to discuss about?”

“No. I think the price we offer is a bit unreasonable, so we need to talk about this again. You’re our department head. You should be more responsible than me!”

He Xiaoyu was surely good at making one feel guilty. How dared she call him irresponsible just because they did not have a meeting? Left with no choice, Li Mu could only agree with her.

Then, He Xiaoyu said softly, “Li Mu, let’s have the meeting in my room so that we won’t disturb Mrs. Lin.” He Xiaoyu was definitely planning something in her head.

“He Xiaoyu, just have the meeting here. Otherwise, get back to your own room. Don’t try to look for trouble.” Lin Wan came out of the bathroom and spat out at He Xiaoyu.

After hesitating for a moment, He Xiaoyu compromised, “Alright then. But let me warn you first. Don’t interrupt our meeting, and don’t let Mr. Yan sees you. You know the consequences.”

Casting He Xiaoyu a disdainful look, Lin Wan walked into the room, sat by the bed, and started playing with her phone.

Turning on her laptop, He Xioayu video called Mr. Yan. Smiling, she asked, “Mr. Yan, are you busy?”

“Hey, Xiaoyu. Have you guys arrived safely?”

“Yes. We arrived in the afternoon, and we had dinner.”

“I see. Where’s Li Mu?”

Li Mu appeared in front of the screen and waved his hands.

“Mr. Yan, I’m here!”

“Oh, both of you are there. So, what’s up?”

“We have some problem here.” He Xiaoyu said, “Are you rushing to go home?”

Mr. Yan was indeed getting ready to go home. However, after hearing He Xiaoyu’s words, he was too embarrassed to leave just like that.

“No. I can leave a little later. What’s wrong, Li Mu?”

Li Mu pointed at He Xiaoyu and said helplessly, “I’m fine, but it seems like Xiaoyu has a problem with the price we decided. She wants to discuss it again.”
