LILIANA POV

I can't understand why my husband is becoming protective right now. I can't see any threat in the old man's presence.

"Xavier, who is he?" I asked calmly. I want to break the ice. I can feel the tension built within my husband.

"She is alive Mr. McKinley. What are you talking about? I think you are still sick," I felt Xavier's grip tighten on my hands.

"Sorry, Mr. Blaze. I think I heard before that this girl is dead," the old man laughed.

"She is alive Sir. After that accident a few years ago. She survived and now, she is my wife," my husband continued.

The old man looked at me then at my husband.

"Sorry for the confusion," the old man rubbed his forehead.

"Being old creates a lot of confusion sometimes Mr. Mckinley, well, how are you?" Xavier pulled me closer again to wrap his hands around my shoulder.

"Yes, I’m good. By the way, this is my grandchild. My one and only grandchild, her name is Elsa," he introduced.

"Good day, ma'am and sir," she greeted politely.

She is cute and very beautiful. I am glad to meet her and to see her enjoying the place too.

The old man bit goodbye and we continued exploring the place. We took a lot of pictures and I can say that the red flowers were just majestic at this moment.

"Xavier, who is that old man earlier?" I need to know about him, it seems he knows about my past.

"He was a former investor in our company. He knew about our story. But don't worry, he is not in any way connected to your brother." he revealed.

I admit I feel scared and nervous every time he will mention my brother Philip. Now that I am happily married to Xavier, I am scared he might find me and Xavier.

My husband is the most important man in my life, I can't afford to live my life if something bad happens to him because of protecting me.

"I always feel safe in your arms Xavier. But we still need to be careful, you told me that my brother has many connections. I am scared, what if he will find us?" I shuddered.

"Lily, don't be afraid. I want you to clear your mind from worries. I have everything in control. I will never let that happen. I will make sure that Philip will never find you," he assured me.

I nodded and hugged him. I always like to hug him this way. His body and arms are perfect for me.

It took us more than an hour to walk and enjoy the view. The City of the Phoenix Flower is a perfect place for me to unwind. I tried my best to remember my past through the red flowers but I fail.

I sighed, it will take more time and a lot of effort for me to remember my past again.

From there, Xavier brought me to stores and boutiques in Hai Phong, he wants me to forget my problems and enjoy shopping. I am not a materialistic kind of person. I prefer to have a few things in my possession. But here is my husband insisting on me buying things like clothes and jewelry. Today, I can't say no to him.

It took us two hours to buy some stuff before we visited a restaurant nearby to eat. We found a Seafood restaurant in the area because Xavier likes seafood so much.

I can see a smile painted on his face as the waiter serves the food. He was like this every time we would have seafood for lunch or dinner.

I just laugh at his crazy handsome look. This is the reason why lately, I tried my best to cook seafood cuisine at home. Thanks to YouTube tutorials, I think I got the correct way to cook it.

"You've been looking at me the whole time. Is that how in love you are with this face?" he caught me staring at him. I felt butterflies inside my stomach.

"I just find you cute and adorable eating these foods, Xavier," I chuckled.

"Here open your mouth love, I would love to feed you today," he said.

I felt shy. There are other people inside the restaurant, they might see us.

"I know you are shy love. But please, let me feed you." he continued.

I nodded and received the food from the spoon.

The food was delicious and we enjoyed eating together. The tourist guide who came with us earlier is eating at the next table.

Xavier is doing his best to make every moment special. He was too sweet and romantic all the time.

On our way to the hotel, we passed tall buildings and some parks. I felt tired after this day. I am not used to traveling. I prefer to stay in our resort and to look into our business.

We finally arrive at our hotel room, it was big and spacious. We are on the 15th floor and from here, I can see other tall buildings in this city, standing proud.

I prepared our clothes to wear. Xavier was inside the bathroom maybe taking his shower.

I am doing the wife's duties. I arranged his things and prepared clothes for him.

I was too busy looking at the things we brought including the stuff we bought earlier when I felt Xavier pulling my hands to the bathroom.

He was wearing nothing, only his towel.

"Xavier," I think I know his plan and I felt my body reacting to his touch.

He closed the bathroom door and led me to the tub.

He prepared warm water, with petals scattered all over the place. The light was dim with only candles giving light.

It looks romantic and I was surprised. I didn't notice him preparing this inside the bathroom while I am busy outside.

"I want our stay here in Hai Phong to be very memorable love, come with me in the tub," his husky voice is like music in my ear.

He took off my clothes, I felt my face burning knowing I am naked at his sight.

He took off his towel too, I am still ashamed to look at his naked body.

I hear his soft laughter as he caught me trying to look away from him.

I punched him in the arms and shoulders, he was making fun of me again.

We both made ourselves comfortable in the tub. The water was perfect and calming.
