After getting out of the car and walking to the door of the hotel, Dorothy trembled slightly as she held Juelz's arms while moving forward, not knowing whether it was due to her anxiety or something else.

She was about to face Credence, the man she had not met for six years. For some reason, she was a little jittery and flustered.

She wondered what attitude he would show her when they would meet once more.

Would he show disgust, indifference, or be dismissive? Maybe he would not even shoot a cursory glance at her.

Juelz noticed Dorothy's trembling body and turned around. He saw that although she had put on light makeup, her cheeks were paling at a visible speed. He stopped short and took her into his arms. Frowning, he asked anxiously, "Dory, what's wrong with you? Are you not feeling well? It's okay, hang in there for a while. Let me send you to the hospital right away."

Even though he had said so, in Juelz's mind, he had a feeling that her uncomfortable

Before that tall and long-legged man could open the door and walk into the lounge, Dorothy, who was behind him, shouted anxiously, "Credence Scott!" The moment she called out his name, only she herself knew how riotous her heart was beating, as if it was sailing in the seas, flapping against the turbulent wind.  With his phone in one hand and his other hand tucked into the pocket of his trousers, Credence turned around and looked at the beautiful woman standing not far away, his expression placid. She was wearing a baby blue evening gown, her black and shiny hair immaculately coiffed into a delicate bun, making her look as beautiful as a painting. There was no expression on his handsome face. Out of courtesy, he lifted his eyelids and asked flatly, "What is it?" His clear voice was leveled, devoid of any emotions, as if he was asking a stranger who he had never seen before. After returning to Talco City, Dorothy had imagined herself meeting him over

Benjamin held the documents regarding information of the cooperation with Juelz's company in his hands as he walked out of the elevator. From the glimpse of the woman he had caught out of the corner of his eye earlier, he thought that her slim figure looked incredibly familiar. He could not help but turn around and do a double take. He unintentionally called out to her in a faint voice, "Mrs. Scott?" Unfortunately, the elevator had closed too quickly. Before he could see the woman's face clearly, she had already vanished along with the elevator. The next second, Benjamin shook his head as he strode towards the lounge. How could it be her? Ever since she was released from prison six years ago, she had disappeared without a trace. Since then, Jonathan and Marvin had never seen her again. He had been busy with company affairs, projects, and various business deals these past few days. Perhaps due to his overtime shifts, his vision had blurred and h

"Do I have to know her?" Credence narrowed his eyes and stared at the contract in his hand. After he finished speaking, he stayed quiet, and a cold aura emanated from his body. Upon hearing this, Benjamin gave a bitter smile, and a sense of helplessness could be discerned in his deep gaze. He replied, "No, you don't have to." He really was unable to figure out what had happened to Mr. Scott after the car accident. He could remember a lot of things clearly, but the only thing he could not remember was Dorothy and his feud with Rosalie. Those memories like files that had been permanently deleted from a computer, not a single trace left. It seemed that Credence was not destined to be together with Dorothy! Benjamin sighed a long breath. He knew that the gloomy man sitting on the sofa had finished signing the contracts, so he hunched over and took the contracts in his hands. He said gently, "Mr. Scott, I will head downstairs first." Then, he turned around and

Benjamin jabbed his finger at the picture on the big screen which showed the woman talking to Credence. He suddenly stopped short and turned around. They could tell that the woman was calling out to him. However, it was a pity that the only emotion they could discern from Credence's face was indifference mingled with impatience. As for the woman who was trailing behind him, they still were unable to see her face, only her curvaceous back was revealed. Not at all discouraged by Credence's indifference and him walking away immediately, she followed him up to the second floor. What did this incident mean? It meant that this woman who had suddenly appeared from nowhere had been in contact with Credence for a few minutes. All they needed to do was show Credence Dorothy's photo and ask him if he had seen her. Marvin was indeed the smartest among the three men present. He soon understood everything and turned around, walking outside.  As he head

In the past few days, after Dorothy had arranged for Belle to be enrolled in a kindergarten nearby that had plenty of facilities, she was officially appointed as Juelz's personal secretary. Germaine provided her with a house due to them being friends. There was no need for her to pay extra rent, but she still needed to earn some money to pay off her and Belle's expenses. Dorothy had taken secretarial courses during her university days. Although she had not worked in the field before, under Juelz's careful guidance, the first week of her career went by smoothly and successfully. One day, in the president's office of J&D Group. After learning that Dorothy had not made any progress in reaching out to Credence, Juelz was half glad, but felt worried too. In short, he was in a very complicated mood.  Fortunately, Credence had forgotten all about Dorothy. As long as Credence continued to lose his memories of her, then he would still have a chance to win Dorothy's

Dorothy raised her head and latched her eyes on Credence's handsome face. The painful expression due to her knocked nose remained fixed. When she saw his deep eyes and the disdain towards her, she went completely out of breath at that instant. Trembling, she rebuked, both amused and bristling, "Why would I be stalking you? Mr. Scott, you came from the opposite direction, so why did you assume I was following you?" She knew that for the sake of Belle's health, she had to speak respectfully and nicely towards him. However, he was downright convinced that she was just trying to hit on him, which caused a searing pain in Dorothy's heart. She could not help but think of their four-year marriage. She had been willing to sacrifice so much for him, yet the only thing she got in return was endless pain and despair. Since her kindness could not be exchanged for equal affection, why did she have to make things difficult for herself? Credence's cold gaze landed

Exiting the beverage shop, Dorothy was about to return to the company when it occurred to her that it was Juelz's birthday. She stopped in her tracks, and went into the next store that was selling men's necessities.  For a while, she browsed around the store and considered her selections. Finally, she set her eyes on a belt and a pair of sunglasses that had a simple yet sophisticated design. After she paid for it, she rushed to the office. When Dorothy handed over a beautifully wrapped gift box to Juelz, she also wished him a happy birthday sincerely. He grabbed her slender wrist and looked at her, a smile on his face as he said, "Dory, since it's my birthday, I have the biggest say. You have to fulfill this small wish of mine." "What is it?" He asked, "Can you give me a kiss?" Caught off guard by his suave moves, Dorothy replied helplessly, "Nope, that's a pass." "Dory, as far as I know, Credence is going to a pretty secluded hospital today to find

Juelz was anxiously searching for Dorothy. By the time he found her, she was sitting blankly on the concrete floor, trembling all over. "Dory, what's with you? Why are you here?" After he had been finished with his treatment, he quickly woke up from his sleep. He had waited in the consulting room for almost an hour, but Dorothy never came back. As time ticked by, he was worried if anything had happened to Dorothy while she was looking for Credence. Good news and bad omens continued to prowl in his mind. Gradually, Juelz, taken over by his worries, had rushed out of the consulting room and gone to Credence's ward to find her. However, apart from Dr. Moore, no one else was in the room. Neither Credence nor Dorothy was there.  Juelz rushed to the gates of the hospital, just in time to see Credence driving away alone in a black Maybach. However, Dorothy was still nowhere to be found. At that moment, Juelz was so agitated that his entire body was tr

Dorothy and the group didn't buy plane tickets. Instead, Credence used his insane wealth to charter a private jet for them to fly straight to Monticello. Ten hours later, Dorothy and the others arrived at a warm city in the south of Monticello from Talco City, where the north wind whistled past. When she got off the plane, Dorothy felt dizzy. Credence held her in his arms as he gently guided her forward. When she turned around, he saw Yezoo's kind smile, as well as Ysabelle's cold, fake smile. Dorothy suddenly felt uneasey. She lowered her head, pulled back her hair that was hanging from her ear, and asked Credence, "If we really expose her true intentions, do you... do you think that my father... wouldn't be able to accept it?" After getting along with each other for the past few weeks, Dorothy could tell that Yezoo really loved Ysabelle wholeheartedly. He didn't detest her for having worked in nightclubs before this. She concluded that Yezoo was very att

Dorothy looked at Ysabelle, who was standing by the door. She had a bad feeling. She felt that Ysabelle gave off a different vibe compared to Yezoo's kindness. This seemingly noble lady may be her biological mother, but she still felt that something was off about her for some reason. Credence noticed that Dorothy's expression had suddenly soured. He followed her gaze and saw Ysabelle standing with a group of ladies. He immediately pushed the wheelchair to the door and spoke politely but in a somewhat distant manner, "Ysabelle, how long have you been there?" "Not long! Credence, as you can see, Yezoo has hired these nannies for Dorothy. I'm here to see if you need anything else." Ysabelle smiled. The smile on her face was somewhat ambiguous. "I have already arranged for some other people to take care of my wife!" Credence frowned and continued, "However, I've yet to call them over for the time being because Dorothy is still weak." "Well, since you 've already arr

Dorothy recognized this woman who had a sexy body and a pleasant face. She had a good impression of Minnie. She heard Credence mention her a few times from time to time. It seemed like Jonathan was pursuing her. She didn't know how that was going. However, seeing as Jonathan liked to tease Minnie and call her names, she guessed he had little to no chance of winning her over at all. Dorothy slowly turned her head and looked outside the door. She said softly, "I'm fine. I don't need your help right now. My child was only three pounds heavy when he was born. I want to know how he's doing now, and my daughter as well. Her name is Belle. Yesterday, she had a bone marrow transplant operation. The doctor told me that the operation was successful, but I fainted after giving birth to my baby. I don't know how my daughter is doing." Minnie hadn't slept all night. Not only was she looking after Dorothy, she had a hunch that Dorothy would ask these questions right after she woke

Jonathan had a hunch about what was going on. He had been following Credence closely. He stared at Credence's every move with his burning eyes, waiting for the first sign of his weakening. The special drug from Monticello that had been injected into him would last for five hours at most. Credence's body was strong enough to hold on until now. He was able to last for the full five hours. At that moment, Jonathan saw Credence's hands slowly let go of the bed's railings. He was falling backward, Jonathan quickly ran towards him like a gust of wind. He frowned and supported Credence's back. "Credence, hold on, you need to hold on! You mustn't be a cause of concern right now. Dorothy has just given birth. She's so weak that a gust of wind is enough to make her collapse. If she still needs to worry about you, how long do you think she'll last?" The moment he made contact with Credence, Jonathan keenly examined his hands. Credence's muscles and bones seemed to be falling apa

"What's the matter? Why isn't the baby crying?" Dorothy's voice was hoarse, and she looked very worried. She remembered when Belle was born, she wasn't as quiet as this. Her cries were so loud it almost caused the delivery room to collapse. When they heard her loud cries, almost everyone assumed that Belle was a naughty little boy. Instead, she was an adorable and naughty girl. Perhaps she had suffered too much pain and torment when she divorced Credence, and all that despair had affected her in the womb. As a result, when Belle was born, her body was in a poor condition, and she often had to go to the hospital for medicine and infusions. Later, she was diagnosed with leukemia. Fortunately, in the end, Jeremy was kind enough to hand Rosalie, who had matching bone marrow to Belle's, over to them so that they could save her life. Dorothy was elated at the thought that Belle was going to recover. Since Belle's illness could be cured, this little b

Inside the delivery room, Dorothy was given an anesthetic. However, she didn't know whether it was because her nerves were too thick or if the anesthetic didn't have much of an effect on her body. She was still very conscious, and she could very clearly feel the pain. Her stomach felt heavy and was in extreme pain. She felt as though the injection was given to someone else and not her. After struggling for over an hour, she was in so much pain that she had almost turned mad, her mind was in a chaotic state. Her face was as pale as a piece of paper, and she was lying on the delivery bed with sweat all over her body. Her breathing was weak. Sometimes she could breathe properly, sometimes it was difficult. The smell of blood lingered in the air. The attending female doctor continued to cheer her on, "Mrs. Scott, the child hasn't come out yet. Hold on, hold on for a little while longer." Dorothy nodded. As soon as she responded, she suddenly felt her stomach b

When she saw a familiar man rushing inside, Dorothy, who was sweating profusely, and was in so much pain that her vision had gone blurry, thought that she was dreaming. Her pale lips trembled greatly, and her eyes were dull as she looked straight ahead. "Credence, why, why are you here? Your injuries..." Before she fainted, she clearly remembered hearing Jonathan shouting loudly at him, telling him that his body was on the verge of collapse. Where was his wheelchair? Why wasn't anyone helping him push his wheelchair in? He should have gone back to his wheelchair, but why was he suddenly standing in front of her again with such a straight and domineering posture? Dorothy's heart became anxious. She was worried about Credence's body, as well as the child in her womb. Her face turned extremely pale as if she had been thrown into an ice cellar. Her entire body was cold. She was wrapped in two thick quilts as she dealt with the immense pain and shivering cold. The te

Credence raised his hand and massaged his stiff neck. He held that posture for a long time as he stared at the white wall that was connected to the delivery room. His neck was as stiff as a board. It felt numb, sore, and was quite painful. But the pain was nothing to him. He could tolerate it. But on this day, the strain from the gruesome rehabilitation training had begun to spread from his arms to his thighs, torso, and gradually, his entire body. It felt like his muscles were being stabbed with a knife. It was so painful that he, a man who used to train in the special forces, almost couldn't bear it. It was especially painful now that he was standing firmly beside Dorothy as they waited for Belle's bone marrow transplant surgery to end. At 6:30 in the morning, he forced Jonathan to inject him with a stimulant. It was an extremely strong one that could revert his body back to a normal state for a short period of time. However, there were certain rules to

Germaine grabbed the frame of the door and slowly walked out of the toilet. Her face was pale and her body was covered in a cold sweat. She looked like she had just stepped out of a swimming pool. She was wet and sticky all over. During the past month, she had been so worried about Dorothy and Belle's health. She hadn't eaten or slept well for several days, which caused her to have stomach pain and constipation. Every time she went to the toilet, she would be constipated for over half an hour. She tried out all kinds of solutions such as holding her breath, which nearly cost her life. A while ago, while she was waiting outside Belle's operating room, she felt unbearable pain in her stomach and rushed to the bathroom. After over half an hour of torment, she was finally done. Just as she was about to pull up her trousers and leave, she heard someone walk in with high-heels. Then, the woman who walked in closed the door and made a phone call. As soon as the woman s
