It took me over a week to gather the courage to contact my parents.

I picked up my phone numerous times, only to find myself staring at their number. However, today I finally decided to make the call because I missed them deeply and needed reassurance that they were doing well.

Just a few days back, I talked to Jonas using Andrea's phone. She still questioned why I didn't simply use mine, and I knew she didn't really believe my story about breaking up with a boyfriend anymore.

"Krystal," I whispered, my voice thick with emotion as my mother answered the call. She paused in disbelief, as though her ears had deceived her.

"Becca, my dear child," I finally heard her say. "Where are you? Your father and I are so worried about you. We know you've left Alex. Are you alright?" My mother's voice had never sounded so comforting to me; it felt like it was soothing my spirit.

"I'm okay, Mom. It's best if I don't share my location with you right now. I miss you so much and wish things didn't have

Alpha Elyon’s Point Of View Gotcha! At last! After a long and exhausting week of waiting, my patience has paid off. As anticipated, she called her mother, and the call lasted long enough to determine its origin. Using a foreign number wasn't the smartest move, I quickly realized it had to be her. I found out she's in Brooklyn, which isn't too far from here. I've saved the location on my phone. Long live advanced modern technology! The mission was easy, only the waiting was tiresome. And that stupid Alex just keeps waiting passively, convinced that Becca will eventually just saunter back into his packhouse as if nothing happened. This Alpha is more upset about the blow to his pride from her public embarrassment than heartbroken over her departure. His mistake, my fortune. "Jake, get my car ready immediately," I instructed my Beta. I rushed back to my apartment but came to a sudden halt. How should I ex

Luna Xena’s Point Of View“Looks like I have to deal with you myself. I hate you so much!”It was more my irritated wolf that growled from deep within her. It's so humiliating to watch a mate run off after another she-wolf without even bothering to inform me of where he's going or why. It gave me a feeling of insignificance as if I didn't matter to him. I've realized for quite some time that he doesn't truly love me, he's just yielding to the mate bond and his parents' expectations.I know for a fact that his heart belongs to Becca, and it might always stay that way.I found out from the Beta that before he met me, Elyon had been in a long-term relationship with Becca and ended it upon realizing I was his destined mate. Becca was upset because they had agreed to reject their fated if either of them ever encountered theirs. All signs suggested that Elyon was inclined to reject me, but his parents consistently intervened. On the day of my Luna ceremony, I sensed his hesitation, just as

Becca’s Point Of ViewIt's Johnston! Why was he here?I never expected him to appear in this part of the big city. And he was accompanied by someone, Marelva, who was engrossed in her cell phone beside him while he scanned a magazine. They seemed to be waiting for something, their body language a mix of impatience and tension.I observed the couple with a sense of melancholy. I wished I could confide in Johnston and seek his guidance. He was always adept at handling tough situations, with a wisdom and calmness that soothed my turbulent thoughts. However, he was Alex's Beta, and he was bound to report any encounters we might have. It wouldn't be fair to place him in a position where he must choose between our friendship and his loyalty to his Alpha; there was no middle ground here. The situation felt overwhelming, and I desperately needed someone who had my back. Johnston flipped through a magazine absentmindedly, his thoughts clearly elsewhere. Marelva's fingers glided over her phone

Becca’s Point Of View Again "Did you notice the car parked across the street in front of our apartments?" Jerney whispered to me. "That’s an unusual license plate. And those dark windows! I have a bad feeling about it."His expression turned serious, clearly not taking this unexpected turn lightly. He led me up to the top floor where we peered down at the street below. Sure enough, a car was still parked there. My heart skipped a beat as I recognized it belonged to one of the Moon Shine pack members. So it is still Elyon! What is he doing here? As I glanced further behind him, another vehicle catches my eye, its license plate suggests it's a recent purchase. My werewolf senses set in, and the scent feels all too familiar to me.Xena! It seems she trailed Elyon to this place. Now, I not only have my fated mate at my back, but I also need to defend myself against an ex-boyfriend and his wife. The pressure is building up, yet I'm determined not to let it ta

Jerney didn't disappoint me.He executed his role with such skill that one might mistake him for a professional actor familiar with the script. Though he frowned at Alex's name, he refused to give Elyon the satisfaction he sought."Sir, you've heard it directly. Becca isn't interested in spending time with you. I advise you not to impose and focus on your own life instead. We're fine here," he said calmly and confidently to the man sitting across from him.Elyon rose in anger, his eyes blazing with frustration. Without saying a word, he spun on his heel and left. I watched him go in despair, my heart burdened by the realization that the man I once loved had become a constant nuisance, always buzzing around and causing irritation."Do you think we can get rid of him? This is quite a challenge now! I just wanted to live here peacefully," I sighed, my voice heavy with exhaustion.Jerney glanced at me, worry written all over his face. "Who is that Alex?" he asked, as if unveiling a long-g

Still Becca’s Point Of ViewJohnston leaped over the fence, and I rushed into his embrace. Seeing him brought an overwhelming sense of relief, like discovering a lifeline I hadn't realized I needed. "Johnston," I exclaimed, my voice thick with emotion. He embraced me, pulling me close with a firm hold. "Luna," he murmured, the name dripping from his lips with a blend of respect and playful teasing. For an instant, the title startled me, but then I understood he was teasing me. "I've missed you, Johnston," I said with a hint of distress as I leaned my head against his chest. "When I heard you went to be with your mate, it felt like there was no room for me in your life anymore, especially since I knew who she was." The physical warmth of a wolf is distinct from that of a human, as it is deeply connected to its pack nature. Despite my dislike for Paxton, Johnston now offers me a sense of comfort and reassurance. "Never,

Beta Johnston’s Point Of ViewI informed Becca that we would be departing for Paxton in two days. In my heart, I genuinely hoped she used this chance to escape once more. While I was bringing her back out of a commitment to Alex as his Beta, I wasn't entirely sure it was the right decision. She didn't feel at home in Paxton; being with Alex for a lifetime felt like a slow demise. Alex was aware of this but driven by his thirst for power, he was more than willing to sacrifice her for the sake of the pack. However, it didn't work that way. An unfortunate Luna brought no benefit to the pack; in fact, she could harm the team spirit and weaken bonds among members. When news spread that the Luna had abandoned them, signs of their downfall were already beginning to emerge. All the packs in the region were mocking Paxton, which led to no member wanting to leave the territory out of embarrassment. Now I was dutifully bringing her back, but I was willing to bet that she'd run away again. The fi

Marelva’s Point Of ViewI managed to navigate Johnston's question effectively.I wasn't prepared to admit to him that my children were actually Kenyell's and not Zane's. During a passionate night together, we forgot to use protection, and by the time we realized our oversight, it was too late for the morning-after pill. To calm any potential anger from his side, I falsely claimed I was on birth control but eventually became pregnant anyway, leaving me in this predicament.Zane seemed to be my best choice, as Kenyell was just a store manager and didn't appear to have the same promising future. However, I was aware that after the birth, Zane would likely want a DNA test for proof of paternity. That's why I'd requested a substantial amount of money during this early stage of pregnancy. Over the past month, I'd been planning to leave quietly and give birth in the suburbs in secret. This money would support me as I continued building my life with my family elsewhere. My life had been a con

'Becca, wake up!'Groggily I raised my head and glanced around. The early morning darkness still enveloped the world outside the window, while Alex lay fast asleep beside me.'Becca, it's time. The pup is on the way. Wake Alex to take you to the hospital.'I realized it was my wolf, Era, speaking to me. She was right; I even felt a slight spasm in my back."Alex, wake up! The pup is coming. We need to get to the hospital immediately."I gave his arm a firm shake. Although Alex was usually a deep sleeper, he seemed ready this time since he knew I was about to give birth. He leapt out of bed immediately."Is it time already, Becca? Are you feeling any pain?" he asked with concern in his voice while reaching for his phone. With shaky fingers, he sent a message to the pilot and midwife as per their plan. Then, turning back to me, he wrapped me in his arms and gently caressed my back."Don't worry, baby. I'm here," he whispered worriedly. "Everything will be okay, the hospital is ready to

Becca’s Point of ViewI put all my effort into suppressing the growing resentment I felt towards Alex.At this point in my pregnancy, such negativity wouldn't benefit our little one; it was important for me to remain balanced. The Alpha appeared to be completely different. The cruel edges of his personality seemed gentler now, as he attempted to get me used to his constant closeness. Throughout the day, he engaged me in a variety of conversations about world politics and climate change, making it increasingly evident how much our opinions diverged. The midwife had just entered the house, carrying a few bottles of freshly squeezed juice with her. She was a warm and welcoming woman from the island, always reassuring me that everything would go smoothly with my upcoming delivery."Madam, I'm back! Look what I found," she said with a contented grin while holding two bottles up in the air."Thanks, Dorian," I said gratefully. "You and Alex always ensure I've got enough vitamins. With this

“Johnston, Clea. You know that conspiracy against the Alpha is sentenced with the death penalty. You can be classified as traitors. I can have you both executed at once. Unreliable wolves, especially high ranks, are a great danger to the pack.”Alpha Alex's voice resonated menacingly through the mind link, sending a chill down their spines. The two sat in the Alpha's study, exchanging anxious glances.“We are definitely not traitors. We planned to take her to Paxton, as you mentioned earlier. In addition, the Council is a legal body and as high-ranking wolves, we are obliged to comply with orders. Nothing we did was illegal or jeopardizing the pack,” Johnston countered, his voice steady.Alex let out an incredulous snort. "Do you think I’m a fool? I know deceit when I see it. You conspired behind my back, and now you're trying to justify it. Traitors deserve nothing but the harshest punishment."The tension between the three parties vibrated through the mind link. If they were close,

Zane’s Point of ViewWhere are they?!I'm going crazy here. Becca disappeared and even I didn't know where to look for her. I waited for her as we agreed. Maybe I was just freaking out while she was trying to figure out a way to get rid of that mate and his pack for good. But it's important to me that she and our baby are safe.I didn't want her to go to any lengths just to have me there when she gave birth. I really would like to be the one to help my child come into this world, but the health and safety of both are my highest priority. We could always have more babies for me to be part of the delivery. In all my misery, I grabbed my phone and called Jerney.“Jerney, my wife and child are gone. Not in Moon Shine nor Paxton anymore. What should I do now? How do I know if they are safe? Becca is about to give birth. Ooohhh man!” My voice slid to the desperate.“Zane, please hold tight. I'm sure Becca is keeping an eye on her child's safety. Take care of yourself, because Becca is count

Johnston’s Point of ViewWe had been waiting for hours at the roadside safety strip where we had planned to meet Jonas and Becca. When I tried calling Jonas, his phone was out of range. Concerned, I turned to Elisa."Do you think they're still coming? They're really late, and Jonas's number isn't reachable. Do you think Elyon might have caught them?" Elisa looked worried too, I could tell by the repeated frowning on her face."We need to inform her parents immediately. If Elyon has caught those two and brought them to his pack, he might behave unlawfully. There's nothing else we can do," I explained to her as I reached for my phone and dialed Warrior Kendall's number. He answered promptly."Beta Johnston here. I'm hoping this call brings good news because the last update mentioned Paxton planning an attack on us.""Beta, that's not our main concern right now," I cut him off. "We were supposed to meet Becca and Jonas for an appointment, but they're already several hours late. We're wor

  • My Human Alpha Mate   Chapter 142 - Legs Closed

"Doctor, are you able to know the gender yet? I'm eager to find out."Becca found herself on the examination bed in a large hospital in The Bahamas, where Alex had taken her. As he had mentioned, this was a brief visit to monitor the pup and determine when they needed to return for its delivery. Their ultimate destination lay on an island further away. She smiled, feeling a mix of excitement and impatience. The moment felt surreal, and she couldn't help but feel a deep connection to the life growing inside her."Let me have another look," the gynecologist said, applying a gel to her abdomen once more and focusing intently on the monitor. The liquid felt cool against her skin, and she shivered slightly."Hmm, this little one keeps his legs closed. Let's see if a gentle nudge helps." The doctor carefully massaged the abdominal area. Although the baby shifted slightly, he continued to keep his legs together. This amused the doctor greatly, who couldn't help but laugh out loud."Ma'am, I

The SUV with black-tinted windows screeched to a halt in front of the Duo.Three men dressed in black and heavily armed sprang out, racing towards the car and yanking the door open. Becca and Jonas stared at them, clearly startled."Get out. NOW!" demanded a man wearing dark sunglasses. The men exuded an intimidating presence, their postures firm and rigid. Feeling overwhelmed, Becca hesitantly rose from her seat and Jonas followed her. "Gentlemen, can you explain what's happening here? We're just innocent civilians waiting for some friends, we haven't done anything wrong," Jonas pleaded to the man standing beside him.The passenger door of the SUV swung open and Alex stepped out with an air of authority, his steps calculated and deliberate. He walked straight to Becca at a measured pace and stopped right in front of her."Expecting Johnston and Clea, are you? Unfortunately, they won't be joining us, you'll have to come with me instead." He gently raised her chin with two fingers."Be

Luna Xena’s Point of ViewI've had enough of this! This whole Becca business must be over now! Every day I had to hear her name; my mate was obsessed with her. I barely got any attention from him. This had to come to an end. Today, I was taking steps to bring back the love and sparks in my relationship. For the past few weeks, Elyon had been hanging out in the packhouse, ogling Becca, and in the evenings, instead of showing me his love and affection, he just turned his back on me before falling asleep like a log. Last night, I confronted him again."Elyon, this has to stop. You can't keep ignoring me and obsessing over Becca. I'm your mate, not her," I said, my voice trembling with anger. He barely looked up from his desk. "Xena, you will never understand. It's complicated.""Complicated? You mean you're trying to make her your concubine while I'm left here feeling worthless?" I shot back, my eyes blazing with fury."Xena, it's not like that," he tried to explain, but I cut him off."

Becca’s Point of ViewMy phone rang for the third time, yet I still had no desire to check it.I wanted to steer clear of additional stress. I knew that the top-ranking officials were still arguing in Elyon's office without seeking a concrete solution, and I didn't want to be involved in any way.Zane occupied my thoughts more than ever. I was uncertain how long Era could keep the pup safe, so I needed to act quickly, despite not knowing exactly what to do. My most recent escape attempt had failed, and now all the warriors were closely watching me.My phone rang for the tenth time, each ring underscoring the caller's persistence. Reluctantly, I pulled the device from my pocket to see who it was. Jonas! Why would he be calling me now?"Hey, Jonas," I greeted him warmly. "What's up? It's absolute chaos here. My parents, Elyon, and the Alpha's parents are all at each other's throats. I've managed to escape from all of that.""Becca," he said with urgency, "Meet me at the pub as soon as p
