Chapter 99

“Fine, we’ll change the song.”

They changed the song, but it was no better choice either. It was yet another love duet. They knew they couldn’t back out of the game or else, it might raise suspicions.

Dion followed along with his verse with the aid of the subtitles on the screen. He was not so familiar with the song. He had heard it a couple of times, he had never memorised the lyrics, but Mpumi was glad enough that he at least knew the tune.

“God, they look so beautiful together,” Sam whispered to Thabo. Thabo was not pleased with that.  Emilia too felt betrayed by the two people. She cursed Mpumi for being so innocent to her face and snatching Dion’s interest behind her back. She grieved over Dion for falling for a woman he ‘recently met’.

Everyone was shocked over how Mpumi and Dion fell in love over ‘just two days’ of camp.
