Rebecca POV (LOOKING BACK… AGAIN)

“IS THERE SOMEONE AGAINST Ginny for closing the nomination right away?” Ms. Leni asked and looked at my classmates.

Obviously, some of them were against it. I can see the disagreement in their eyes but no one attempted to raise their hands. I decided to act on it myself.

“Me! I don’t agree with this!” I frantically stated while staring at Hera as if she did something crazy. Well, voting a normie like me was indeed insane.

Ms. Leni’s brow arched. “So you’re questioning Hera’s capability of choosing the muse for this class? Don’t you think that there’s a reason why she voted for you?”

I shrugged my shoulders. “I don’t know… maybe she was just playing prank on me. Please don’t allow this Ms. Leni! We won’t win the pageant if you are seriously thinking of letting me join.”

“I think you are perfect for the role, Rebecca.” A genuine smile formed on Hera’s lips. “And just so you know, I’m not playing a prank on you.”

My glasses slid down on the bridge

GINNY’S POV IT WAS A WONDERFUL morning for me. The sun was radiantly smiling above us, I was able to arrive at school early and everything seems to be in their rightful places… … Until I heard someone yelped for help. I immediately ran towards the bathroom where I heard the pleading voice of a woman when Mitchell’s group suddenly walked out of the comfort room. They were all laughing hard and it came down on me that they must have done something mischievous again. Mitchell noticed me and pushed me by the shoulder before ordering her minions to quickly fled away from the scene. “What happened? I heard someone screamed.” I turned my head and saw Heiji’s worried face. “I’m not sure.” I looked back at the comfort room and walked inside it. “Hello?” Heiji watched me as I checked the cubicles. “Do I have to call Ms. Leni?” He asked. “Hold on. We have to check the situation first.” I pushed the next door but no one was there. “Hello? Please if someone is here then answer me

HEIJI'S POV I CAN FEEL MY CHEEKS burning when their eyes turned at me. I don't know if it was because of the cocktail I was drinking, or because of the embarrassment I felt after reminiscing about our high school days. That damned dress. My sister Hikaru asked me to bring it since they were going to have a party that night with her friends. I was planning to give it to her after school and will just meet her up at her all-girls dormitory. I never thought that the one she asked me to bring was the provocative dress that my Dad forbade her to wear. "Thanks to Heiji, I was able to see how Rebecca looked in a sexy dress." Hera said with a teasing smile on her lips. How I wish… "That’s true." Ginny seconded and focused her eyes at Rebecca. "Although I was a bit curious as to why you didn't seem to feel shy while wearing it. I mean, based on your personality, I was expecting to see you timidly checking the length of your dress. Or you’d be crying helplessly since it was showing to

HERA’S POV PRESENT TIME I WATCHED HOW Judiel and Rebecca bicker, and it reminded me of the days when we were still in high school. “Can you two grow up? I mean, years already passed and you two still fight like kids.” I scolded them since they were starting to attract the attention of the customers. They both stopped and smiled at me. “But this is our normal thing, Hera.” "I don't think you should even call this fighting." Judiel nonchalantly said. Rebecca nodded. "I agree." “Well, not the perfect place to do your 'normal thing' though.” I motioned them to check their surroundings which they did. “Sorry.” Rebecca said and took another shot of tequila on the table. “Since Mirajane and Judiel are already happily engaged, why not stop squabbling with each other and live in harmony? Don’t forget that Judiel also helped us with the makeover.” A sweet smile popped on my lips as we all started to remember that day… THE MAKEOVER PLAN IN HIGH SCHOOL WE WERE ALL STANDING outside the f

JUDIEL’S POV HIGH SCHOOL DAYS EVER SINCE I CAUGHT A glimpse of Rebecca’s flushed face while being teased to Ibarra, I was able to confirm that she was indeed in love with him. She never smiled at me that way and I know that she never will be since all I can get from her was hatred. I know she hated me for being so clingy and controlling… and yeah, for being so narcissistic that she even cried to me before, asking me to stop blocking people who wants to know her and befriended her. I tried! I tried to restrain myself from pushing people away from her but whenever I see that they were planning to do something bad, I just find myself protecting her. You see, Rebecca and my family are well-known in our area. Ever since I was young, my Dad taught me how to distinguish if a person wanted to do something funny or dangerous to another person. That’s the reason why I’m always on alert, especially when it comes to Rebecca. Our status made me become conscious of our safety. Fine, maybe I

  • My High School Romance   CH.16 - Dear Diary

REBECCA'S POV I JUST GOT HOME FROM Casa Blanca Bar alone since Mirajane decided to go with Judiel. We all decided to go home when we started to blabber about the past, resulting to loud laughter and unlimited teasing. Numerous customers already reported us so we chose to call it a night. I just had my bag placed in my room when my phone suddenly rang. It was a call from my editor – sharing the good news that the interview I had with IBS-CON network ranked number one in talk shows and that my book was once again sold out in a well-known bookstore. Elated I was, I ran inside my room and wrote about it in my journal. And while I was happily writing the news about my success, I caught a glimpse of an old notebook – stuck in between my two other novels. I pulled it out, and in an instant, the memories I had written in that diary rushed over me. I felt the urge to open it – which I did, and there I read what seems to happen like yesterday... ******************* Dear Diary, I'VE BEEN

Rebecca’s POV “ENOUGH WITH YOUR CHILDISH act and stay away from her!” I felt the intense disgust when Ibarra said those words. I peeked a little and saw how their lips parted in shock. The first one to recover was Mitchell who immediately took out her handkerchief and ran towards him. “I-I’m so sorry, Prince!” She was about to wipe the egg off his back when he shoved her hands and completely faced them – forcing me to show myself since I was tightly clinging on his uniform. The girls gasped upon seeing how close I was to Ibarra and that triggered Mitchell more. She gave me a death stare and grabbed me by my hair “You sly---!” “What happened here?!” The librarian entered the room and looked at us completely baffled. Saved by the bell! I was able to breath a bit better since Mrs. Reyes quickly removed her hands off my hair and got in between us. I shifted my position and hid behind Ibarra. “Didn’t you girls just recently go through detention for bullying Rebecca? Why are you doi

I WOKE UP WITH THE diary in my hand – thinking that it was probably the reason why I dreamt of that moment. It was a sweet memory of mine and dreaming about it was like a prize for my longing heart. I stretched my arms before sitting up. A new day. A new day without rushing myself to open my laptop and start typing. It was a wonderful feeling. Don’t get me wrong. I love writing. But sometimes, it’s nice to take my time and sit down while sipping on my favorite coffee without forcing to wake yourself up because I was running after the deadline. I stood up and placed the diary on my table before going outside my room. I was on my way to the kitchen to make some coffee when the telephone rang. Oh shoot… The only people who could call me in that number was my editor, my manager and Mirajane. I was hoping it was the last person – warning me that she and Judiel will visit the house. I was quite hesitant to pick it up but I had no choice. "Hello? Who's this?" I asked and waited for the

Ibarra’s POV “IBARRA.” REBECCA BITTERLY CALLED out my name. Yeah, I think I should be offended but I don’t know why my heart started beating too fast. Seeing her after all these years sent a tingling sensation inside me. I was starting to feel nostalgic as I envisioned her as the high school girl I first met. My dog… The person who I was less interested at when I was young… the person I wanted to evade. However, fate seems to have a different plan for us. It kept on tangling us together no matter how hard I try to distance myself from her… just like now. “It appears you two know each other.” Nikki said to break the intense stare fest we were having. Rebecca sarcastically laughed as she slowly stood up. “How stupid of me not to know or even research who the owner of IBS-CON is.” She raised her left eyebrow and scoffed at me. “Forget it. I’m not going to do this stupid show!” “Rebecca!” Nikki accosted when she was about to walk away from us. The corner of my lips curved when a cra

REBECCA’S POV (THE PRESENT TIMES)“I never knew your life was this complicated.” Nikki poured me another glass of wine.“And I never knew they could hide something like this from me.” I bitterly mumbled as I took a sip from my glass. It’s been three days since my confrontation with Ibarra, Mira and Judiel. I’m still baffled as to why they must keep secrets from me. I’ve been tumbling over it – trying to figure out the reason but I’ve been hitting the same damn end. Am I not reliable? Do they think I cannot really control my feelings? Was I that stupid?“Could be.”My eyes flew at Bianca who was staring at me. Did my thoughts just leak out from my mouth? I squinted my eyes at her.“I mean… Didn’t they say that even the brightest man becomes a fool in terms of love?”I simpered before taking another sip. “Mind to elaborate?”Mind to elaborate. Hah!Funny how a famous romance writer faces dilemma understanding the truth behind this loophole.“Hope you don’t take this negatively, Rebecca.”

“CHU…” IBARRA REMOVED THE WOMAN’S grip from his uniform and pushed her lightly. He was giving me this ‘pleading’ look as if he was asking me not to think of something weird.I mean, should I?But they’re undeniably close! She even knows Carlie and if you didn’t arrive, maybe she successfully undressed Ibarra!I shook my head to clear these thoughts and worries that was starting to eat me.“Chu?” The woman crossed her arms on her chest and gave me a scrutinizing look. “Is she the one?”Wow.I never felt so belittled with just a mere look. Mitchell used to give me this kind of stare, but it wasn’t that powerful than this. Her cat shaped eyes made it more menacing. The way she also stood there gives this ‘I own this place’ vibe.“Instead of you being here, why don’t you head to the mansion and meet Dad? You are not even allowed here.”She chuckled dryly. “Evading my question, huh? Well, you no longer need to say anything cause I already know the answer. Anyway…” She patted his head and g

THE PAST.Rebecca’s POV.“HAVE YOU HEARD?”I looked down as I slowly walk through the corridor. I already knew that they’ll be talking about me. The way that they threw glances at me, their pretend “whisper” that could be heard within a mile… it was obvious that I was – and again the center of the gossip world.Well, it’s been like this for a while now, ever since we’ve returned home from our Recollection. One of Mitchell’s old minions saw me and the girls coming out from the boys’ room the morning we accidentally slept there. And yes, she did saw the whole gang but never mentioned anyone other than me. That witch girl spurted out that I deliberately sneaked into the room and slept with Ibarra, and that news ran like a wildfire. This issue immediately caught the attention of the teachers and of course, we were called to the principal’s office to explain what happened.*** Flashback ***“Is this true? Rebecca’s POV “I WANT YOU…” Without any delay, he passionately kissed me again. Filled with longing, exhilaration, and warmth. I parted my legs and wrapped them around his waist that made him groan. My mind went blank when I felt something there. All my sanity just left my body, and I was ready to give everything to Ibarra at this point. But… “Oh my God!” A frustrated moan escaped my lips as we turned our heads where the squeal came from. Dammit! “Rebecca!” Oh, God! When will these people learn not to appear out of the blue?! “What is the meaning of this?!” Judiel bellowed which forced me to loosen my frivolous clutches on Ibarra. Ibarra covered me with the blanket and slowly stood up beside the bed. Seeing his almost naked body right now confirmed the way I imagined him to be as I traced his toned body earlier. And when my eyes flew down the bulge that has been calling my attention, I ended up swallowing the air blocking my throat and bit my lips upon remembering the feelin

I had a glimpse of the girls and their men beside them.“Ughhh.” I grunted and shut my eyes again since my world went spinning. I muttered something that even I did not understand.I heard Hera cackled. “Oh god! It’s been a long time since I drank like this.”“And you shouldn’t do it in public. You do know that you are a well-known model, babe.”Jeremy…I tried to peek by squinting my left eye but instead of seeing Jeremy, Ibarra’s flushed, yet worried face greeted me.“Chu, wake up.” He softly whispered and caressed my back. His endearment to me sent tickles to my heart. I ended up giggling as I buried my face back on my arm that was lying on the top of the table.“That one’s also wasted. Take her home, Ibarra.” I heard Ginny said. “I’ll take care of

THE PAST (Ibarra’s POV) A SMILE FORMED on my lips when Rebecca nodded eagerly. Oh, you have no idea what I’m about to say, Chu. “Pfft! I bet this story will be boring. Just like you.” Judiel mocked and laid on his back. “Shut up, Judiel!” Rebecca hissed and even rolled her eyes. “Learning history is fun!” “So, are you going to tell us or what?” Ginny asked who also appeared to be interested about it. “I’d appreciate it if no one longer interrupts me.” I said and stared at Heiji. He narrowed his eyes. “Did I say anything?” I smirked and nodded. “Great! So…” A loud, exaggerated snore echoed the room. “Judiel!” Everyone clamored and Mira even hit him with a pillow. Judiel grunted before sitting upright. “Fine! I’ll listen!” I sighed and started again. “Before World War Two, this place was used as an orphanage. Parents who cannot take care of their child used to leave their newborn in front of the door and nuns would take them in. The institution was handled by a well-known pr

THE RECOLLECTION NIGHT (Rebecca’s POV) “WHAT THE HELL?” Mirajane immediately covered Judiel’s mouth and motioned him to stop. “Shut it!” Hera pushed the door wider, and we giggled as we made our way inside the boys’ room. My eyes glistened as soon as I saw Ibarra looking at us bewildered. He was cooly sitting on his bed with a book on his hand. “Mind explaining what you girls are doing here?” Jeremy stood up and blocked us from walking further inside the room. My lips pouted in dismay as I glanced at our class president. Just a few steps past him and I would reach where Ibarra was. Almost! “Oh, come on, Remy! Just chill. We made sure that we were not followed by any student teacher on our way here.” Hera reasoned out that apparently displeased Jeremy. “First of all, don’t call me Remy. No one calls me that. Second, that wasn’t my point. You do understand that you just entered a lair filled with men… yes?” “Men?” Hera chortled. “Really? You’re just a bunch of boys. Men stays up

Ibarra’s POV MY FACE IMMEDIATELY turned red when I saw Rebecca’s face that peaked from the door. Her eyes flew at me and all I could do was to look away. My hand embarrassingly covered my face like a shy high school kid. Shit… It didn’t occur to me that I have this abashed personality. I’ve been into more embarrassing situation than what happen earlier but the effect of that was incomparable with any of it. “What are you two doing here?” I heard Judiel asked and I threw a glance at him. His brows were furrowed – indication that he’s displeased that they arrived. I was about to react when Hera extended her arm and playfully hit him. I was sitting in between them. “It wasn’t their fault. I called them but I was unaware that you guys are here. I know you didn’t plan that to happen, but you seem to enjoy the feeling of Ibarra being obviously embarrassed about that.” “Ugh!” I rolled my eyes. Fine! I did enjoy it! Seeing that egoistic CEO bashful face gives me a weird satisfaction. “What? Did you honestly think I’ll miss that glimmer in your eyes you saw him turned into a tomato?” “Okay! Yes! You got me!
