Chapter 31: Communiqué

"Damn, sweetie. You cooked so devine! Let’s get married!"

I suddenly swallowed a whole piece of marinated chicken when I heard what he just said.

I coughed a lot of times while I am hitting my chest because of its tightness. He was then got alarmed and immediately attended to me. He picked up the prepared bottled water from the coffee table where we were eating and then gently gave it to me while caressing my back.

After a while, he clicked his tongue. "Are you okay? I told you to eat slowly," he scolded me, his voice reflecting concern.
