"I'm fine. When I think of Minnie, I kinda feel an urge to cry," Coco explained.

"An urge to cry?" Lucas frowned.

"Minnie's been really good to me. I haven't done much for her compared to what she's done for me." Coco felt a little emotional, tears gathering in her eyes. "I wouldn't be where I am without her."

Lucas leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss on the corner of her eye.

"If only I had met you earlier. I'll always protect you."

Closing her eyes, Coco hugged Lucas gently. "I wish I had met you earlier too."

Coco wondered how it would be if she had been the one who had met him and saved him in the mountains. Would they have suffered less hardship in their relationship? On second thought, that was impossible. Coco would still have been a child and maybe not even able to talk.

Coco chuckled at her thoughts.

"What's wrong?" Lucas asked, feeling strange.

"Nothing. I just thought… I was still in kindergarten when you were in middle school. I wonder if we ever met as kids." C
