Chapter Five

"Oh..... Bet- Mr Mason and Jason, it's so nice to have you back from your trip". When I finally entered the class, he kinda paled and stuttered more.

"Alp- I mean M-Mr Kyle, I see you tagged along. Welcome back, please have your seats".

Before we went to our seats, I heard Mason growl so low. I looked at Mason and traced his eyes to a cute red haired girl I kinda recognized as someone who resides in our pack, the SilverLake pack who happens to be his mate.

I'm so happy for him to have found his second chance mate. I saw him and couldn't help but tease him through the mind-link

"Looks like someone has found his mate, unfortunate her"

Jason turned to look at me and then Mason and replied

"Well he got a fire for a mate then, but I wish it was Tasha Grey. She's everything a guy can ask for" he informed me.

"Who's Tasha Grey and how do you know?" I asked as I tried to remember where I heard that last name, Grey. It sounded so familiar then I turned to look at him.

"The girl beside the red hair with the googly grey eyes. She's drool worthy that I know but you won't know because she hides behind all those baggy clothes" he said with an amused face.

I turned to see who he was referring to and she looked like a goddess with her thin lips and googly grey eyes but I wouldn't admit it though.

I tried to perceive if she was a wolf but got confused as she smelled like a human but there was this scent with it of which I couldn't put what I perceived that made me frown. We looked at each other for a while and wouldn't had stopped if she hadn't looked away. The dumbass teacher directed us to our seats.

I wasn't surprised that the class was almost full considering his class wasn't always as full as this when mad Mason left.

I've been away with Mason in Russia for two years with my Uncle Bob learning some pack techniques to make me a very good Alpha and Mason Beta.

I took a seat two chairs away beside  Tasha but couldn't help staring at her as I felt drawn to her and like she knew I was staring at her, she returned my stare.

I was lost in those eyes till she gave me this blank look and turned away and whispered to her friend that I'm a weirdo, thanks to my werewolf hearing.

What the hell! Doesn't she know it's a privilege for me to look at her and from then I decided I'll show her. I'll definitely have fun riling her up.

Then at lunch, the red hair I later knew as Carmen Budweiser who I found out came to our pack during the time we were away came to sit together with us or rather Mason who looked like he'll eat her with his eyes at our table while Jason animatedly talked to some girls who were chuckling at what he said. What a charmer!

I looked around and saw the annoying beauty eating alone. She sipped her drink and I couldn't help but think how it'll feel with her mouth on.......

No I shouldn't be having these thoughts. She somehow knew I was staring again and looked up at me and almost immediately left the cafeteria with an annoyed look on her face.

I had to admit she looked cute when angry and I'll do anything to make her angry to behold her cuteness. I didn't see her again till lunch break was over as I saw as she made her way through the crowd to her nextg class. I was still in thoughts when I felt arms on my biceps and noticed it was Lola, my bitch.

I mentally groaned because she was too clingy but I couldn't do anything about it  'cos she was the only person I had to keep my raging hormones at bay.

"Hey baby K" she purred seductively as she ran her hand on my biceps. I hated that name. She ran her hands on my length and at that instant, I got hard and made her lead the way to an empty class. We finished making out with me leaving love bites or lemme say, lust bites on her body.

I attended my last two classes and made way to meet the guys. I got caught up with Lola again and well, the rest is story.

I walked to the hallway to see the school almost empty except for a few guys and Mason with his mate. She was saying something to them and Mason was just looking at her with love in his eyes. He is happy at last.

We got together with Jason as we drove back to the pack house that was not to far away from the school as Carmen went home in her black Jeep Wrangler. My main car was still in the Auto repair shop for servicing to come back tomorrow. We got out as the car parked in the garage.

I grabbed my bag and made way to the kitchen as I perceived an aroma that made my tummy rumble. As I reached, I saw my mom's golden brown hair swaying as she hummed a song as she brought out my favourite ginger chocolate muffins. Who ever knew ginger and chocolate went together.

I sneaked quietly as I picked one up from the tray when my mom voice startled me.

"You could have washed your hands at least. Who knows what germs you've picked up on some random girl's butt" my mom, Amelia said never looking back.

She knew me too well and she's been praying I found a mate that would whip my ass anytime I misbehaved and make me stop lying about with that she devil. She started calling Lola that ever since she caught her straddling me in my room. ' she has no shame' my mom scoffed that day.

"Okay mom, whatever" I carried four pieces and went out to my quarters that was situated close the forest because I loved the sight. I stepped in and headed straight to shower.

After ripping my clothes, I stepped into the welcoming warmth and as I finished, I put on a black sweatpants and laid on bed as I scrolled on my phone reading my emails that filled with treaties, pack members transfers till I landed on one Mason sent me a day ago.

"I found out the man who killed Eva".

"His name is Roy Johnson, called the Rogue king in partnership with a black witch".

"Wanting to find the healer wolf to rip her of her powers to rule the wolves and all other supernatural beings like the werecats, vampires, warlocks, witches and faes".

I decided to look for the healer wolf before he did. But how do I intend to do that when the last healer wolf was reportedly vanished years back after her death leaving her children scattered all round. How will I know exactly where and which child is born the healer.

"Argh.... This is frustrating" I said as I ran my fingers through my brown hair and decides to go for a run. I went out the door and landed on all fours as I shook my fur in the rustling wind.

I ran and stopped by a stream to take a sip then I noticed the colour of the water is as the eyes of Miss Feisty, Tasha. I left there before my mind will wander away.

I shifted back and wore a short I found by some trees that my pack members set incase of an emergency. I walked to the house to find Mason sprawled on my couch sleeping.

"Wake up dumbass, you're drooling on my couch". I shook him

"It ain't worth more than me" he smiled as he got up.

"What you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Carmen?" I asked as I walked to the kitchen to get dinner ready.

"Well I figured you need me as you read the email I sent. So let's make dinner, where's the meat? I'm starving" He replied as he joined me in kitchen. I smiled because I knew he was right.... What will I do without him?

"So what do you think we'll do now? Because no one knows the whereabouts of where the last healer was neither where the children will possibly be........ Finally". Mason asked as he rambled about my kitchen and found the meat.

To be sincere, I don't know how. I've pondered on it and haven't come up with something. I know I should do it soon because I wouldn't want to look incapable in front of my pack and then an idea popped in my head.

"Would you like to eat now 'cos I'm done" Mason broke me out of thoughts as the aroma of Spaghetti and meatballs with his homemade Soy sauce. I don't know what he put in it but damn, that Soy sauce does wonders.

"Yeah, I'll like to."

After he dropped the food on the dining table, I dug into the food and O. M.G, the flavours burst into my mouth. Is it possible for your mouth to be watering but you're eating.

Then I broke the silence "Let's go talk to Elder Macy, she's the oldest elder and may have an idea of where we could possibly start scouting for the healer's children"

" Alright, you have a point there. Let's do that tomorrow because I need to rest before night patrol. "

" No problem ".

We ate in silence after that and I couldn't help but wonder what I've done to deserve a friend as Mason. And when we were done, I took the plates to the kitchen to wash( yes, I do the dishes as an Alpha all thanks to my mum).

"I'll be on my way K"

"Wait, bro"

I went to the doorway and hugged him. He was surprised because he was stiff but hugged me back with a clap on the back and I mind linked him.

"Thanks for being here bro, it's means a lot"

He grinned " Awww, that's so cute" and squished my cheeks. I mentally groaned and pushed myself away from cooing Mason.

"Get out" I growled as I pushed him out my house and slammed the door in his face. I chuckled as he cursed profanities under his breath. That boy can be unpredictable sometimes even though we have been together for years, sometimes I just don't get me.

I went to take a quick shower, said a silent prayer to the Moon Goddess to help me out in this quest I'm to embark on and then headed off to bed hoping it be answered.
