Or was I just hearing things? I asked myself, my thoughts racing. Was this all just some kind of fantasy, a delusion? I was so confused, unable to process what was happening.

He held my hand, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through my body. I couldn't move, couldn't speak, couldn't think. I was stuck in a trance, my heart pounding in my chest.

He kept talking, and I was too shocked to say anything in response.

“Yes, Zelda, you heard me right. I'm deeply sorry. Please forgive me,” he said, his voice sounding desperate.

I just stood there, staring at him, trying to understand what was happening. I had never seen him like this before, and it was as if he were a wholly different person. I felt a strange mix of emotions, my mind still racing.

“Won't you say something?” he asked, his voice sounding anxious.

I cleared my throat, trying to find my voice.
