Chapter Four

Beaus POV

I knew it from the moment I first layed eyes on Amina Jordan that she was my mate. It was just after the night after my first shift. My parents let my friends come over to celebrate and we played video games and watched television. We were flipping through the channels when I saw her face. Whoever had the remote changed the channel and I growled out "Put it back!" My friends all looked at me weird but did as I asked.

The actress on the screen was absolutely stunning. Her long blonde hair reached past her chest and she had the warmest brown eyes I'd ever seen. I was just in awe of her. That's our mate! My wolf Kit said. Are you sure? Don't we usually have to be in like the same room or something? I asked him. I'm tell you she is! He said sharply. I pulled out my phone and looked up her name. "What's going on Beau?" One of my friends asked.

"So kind of weird but my wolf is saying this actress Amina Jordan is my mate?" I said looking down at her acting profile. "Wow really?" Someone asked. "I guess?" I said still confused. "Awesome we'll have a famous Luna" a voice said and there were a couple cheers. Kit was growling in my head, maybe he was right with how possessive he was being. "I'll talk to you guys later" I said waving them off and going to look for my parents.

I found my parents in my mom's office and gently knocked on the door. "Oh sweetie, we didn't expect you" Mom said with a bright smile. My father and their Beta, Micah, were gathered over a map on the desk. "Sorry to interrupt" I apologized walking in. "Nonsense" Micah said with a big smile. He pulled me into a hug and patted me on the back. "I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you first shift" Micah said. "It's okay" I told him.

"What did you need Beau?" Dad asked me. "Um I wanted to talk to you about my mate" I said. "I'll give you guys some privacy" Micah said and headed out of the door. "Did you finally meet her?" Mom asked excitedly. "What you mean finally? It's been two hours?" Dad asked bewildered. "Oh shut it!" Mom said giving my dad a light smack on his chest. "Kind of?" I said as more of a question. "What do you mean kind of?" Mom asked.

I explained how I saw her on the television. "Well I mean it's not impossible" Dad said scratching at his chin. "However the only way to know for sure would be to be face to face" He added. I flopped down into the chair on the side of my moms desk. "How can I do that? I mean she's famous I'd never be able to get near her" I said feeling a little defeated. "Well you're alpha ceremony won't be until next month during the full moon" Mom started to say. "So why don't you take a vacation to Hollywood and see if the Goddess and make some magic happen?" She suggested.

"Thank you both for coming with me" I tell my parents as we put the last bag into the trunk. "It'll be a nice family vacation" Mom said as she climbed into the seat. The day after I spoke with my parents we made the plans to go to Hollywood to find Amina. "Take care of the pack" Dad said to Micah giving him a hug. "You know I will" He said and waved to us before we pulled away from the pack house.

The longer we were on the road the more I could feel my eye lids drop. "What the!" I heard my dad yell and felt the truck swerve to the right. I hit my head against the car door waking me right up. The truck rolled to a stop in the middle of a field. "What's going on?" I asked rubbing the sore spot on my temple. "Stay in the car" Dad warned. Mom and I watched as Dad got out of the car and I could see Micah standing there. "What's he doing here?" I asked Mom. "I don't know" She said. Suddenly Micah shifted and attacked my Dad.

"No!" Mom yelled getting out of the car so she could aid him in the fight. However she didn't get far. While we were distracted by Dad and Micah we didn't see the rogues coming up around us. Mom and Dad were both fighting for their lives. I jumped out of the car and quickly shifted. I joined in the fight taking on a rogue that was going to jump my mom. Now being that I was going to be an Alpha I've been training since a young age.

However all that training never prepared me for this. Most of my training had been one on one. There were two or three trying to come after me right now. I felt one jump on my back and landed it's sharp teeth in my neck. I was able to shake him off and tore it's leg clean off when I heard the sickening sound of a whimper. I turned my head to see my dad laying lifeless on the ground. The whimpering was coming from my mom. The rogues seemed to leave us alone now as Mom made her way to Dad's body. She shifted back and cradled him in her arms.

Shift back Kit. I need to go to them. I said feeling the loss of my father and Alpha. No He said and I'm glad he didn't. Micah now in his human form stalked over to my mother and petted her head. "Don't worry you'll be joining him" He said before snapping her neck. I let out a heart broken howl at the fact that now both of my parents were gone. We need to get out of here I told Kit. On it he said taking off as fast as we could. "Go after him!" I heard Micah yell behind me. I knew that Micah would be able to find me so long as I stayed a member of the pack. I, Beau Travers, Son of Alpha Richard Travers, sever all ties to the Blood Rivers Pack I thought and felt my connection break.
