Taylor frowned. “This can’t be done. The Wolfendens can be picked on and oppressed, but they mustn’t be killed.”

The others were astonished, wearing curious expressions, but Taylor did not go into it.

Sir Osborn gave it a thought and said, “Just send someone to fight for the project with the Wolfendens then.”

Taylor nodded. “I feel the same way, actually. Is there a suitable candidate here? Or is anyone willing to step up?”

Falon spoke up. “Patrol Yost, I have a candidate. I think all of you here know Eddy Perez?”

“I do. Isn’t he close to you, Millers?” asked Clifford.

Falon scoffed. “Kayson’s had a conflict with Eddy. He’ll be happy to go against him if he's given a chance!”

Taylor asked, “Is this Eddy Perez reliable?”

“Don’t worry, Patrol Yost. Eddy’s absolutely dependable. He’s a businessman worth billions of dollars after all,” answered Falon.
