Rosalie did not wear the necklace because it was inconvenient.

When she got to the research institute, she took off the necklace and put it in her coat pocket.

She had a busy morning. When it was lunch hour, Xander called her suddenly, saying something came up that noon and he wanted to change their appointment time to dinner.

Rosalie did not think much about it and agreed.

In the evening, when she got off work, Rosalie saw Xander already waiting outside the research institute.

“Please accept my apology for changing the lunch to dinner. Something came up in the company and I couldn’t leave.”

Xander apologized immediately when he saw her.

Rosalie smiled casually and said, “It’s alright. Work is more important. Are we still going to the restaurant we agreed to meet at for lunch? You can head there in your car first. I’ll follow behind you with mine.”

With that, Rosalie headed to her car straight.

Xander looked at Rosalie’s decisive steps, and he was disappointed. However, he sai
