A few weeks later at the City Hospital…

Daniel was gently rubbing Ella’s back as she whined in pain. His face was filled with worry and he wished that he was the one going through the pain, instead of his wife.

“Doc, it has been like this for three days, what is going on?” Daniel looked at the doctor and asked coldly.

That was right, Ella had been in labor for three whole days. Daniel had taken her to Paul’s clinic, but after seeing that the complication was beyond his knowledge and equipment, he told Daniel to take her to the hospital.

The doctor rubbed his nose in exasperation when he heard Daniel.

“Master Edmond, your wife wants to have a natural birth and there is nothing we can do about it. If she was willing, we would have already operated on her.”

“No.” Ella shook her head. She better endure the pain than be operated on.

“What do you want, honey? I can’t bear to see you like this.” Daniel gently said. His heart was practically bleeding at the moment.
