Chapter Sixty One - Morning things

The next morning arrived softly, the light from the sun sneaking through the gaps in the curtains and filling the room with a gentle glow.

I slowly opened my eyes, squinting against the brightness. As my vision adjusted, a wave of relief washed over me. What happened last night was not a dream; everything was real.

Alex was still asleep beside me, his breathing steady and peaceful. His body was draped over mine, his arms wrapped around me in a tender embrace.

It felt so comforting, yet his warmth was becoming too much for me. I am aroused just by lying beside him. I shook my head because I needed to move, to get up and brush my teeth.

Carefully, I began to wiggle free from his embrace. It was a slow process, but I slipped out of his arms without waking him.

Once free, I grabbed one of his loose shirts from the floor and slipped it on. The fabric was soft and a bit too big, but it did the job.
