Chapter Two Hundred Seventy One

We decided to keep the news to ourselves, not like we don’t want them to know about it but we wanted it to be a surprise.

Mother left after the doctor informed her I was okay and all I needed was rest, after assuring us she would come back with some food she left.

“How are you feeling?” Henry asked, taking a seat beside me on the bed. He took my hand in his and placed a peck on it.

“I’m fine Henry, just feeling sleepy,” I answered and that was the truth. All I wanted to do right now is sleep until the next morning but I can’t do that until I have eaten.

“Don’t sleep yet baby, you have to eat first,” Henry said and I nodded, yawning loudly.

“I will try,” I said.

We stayed silent in the room, with Henry placing constant kisses on my hand and face. He made sure his little acts kept me awake, I yawned for a thousandth time before Mother came back.
