“I was just introducing you to Ms. Mars here but she told me something surprising.” He wasn’t smiling any longer. His face was cold as cold and I couldn’t help but wonder what Gwen would have told him.

My eyes flickered to Gwen who was acting like she hadn’t done anything wrong.

“What would Ms. Mars get to say about me?” I asked trying to force a smile out.

“That you both knew each other for a long time now and that you are also her ex….” I blanked out after hearing that.

“She told me you were her ex and the one who made her miserable for years Mr Henry.”

I looked at Gwen who was still smiling and her eyes twinkled at seeing my misery.

It should not be Gwen who had told him we were once married because if she did then it meant that I’m losing this deal and if Gwen and Noah are telling the truth about her being the Mars heiress then I’m done for.
