Travis pov

I had to increase the volume of the vehicle so I could hear Alex properly.

“I did not hear what you said earlier, can you speak up?” I asked Alex again.

“I'm presently not home but I will meet you there in thirty minutes.

“Not bad. I'd wait then.”

I drove to Alex's home. I was used to being there, nothing was new about being there. I parked my newly gifted car in front of his house and went in to make myself comfortable.

I was very happy. I had the answer to the majority of my problems and I was ready to run again.

I did not know when I fell asleep while waiting for Alex to be home.

“Travis,” Alex’s gentle call woke me up. “I have been calling your name for a while now.”

I opened my eyes without changing my position. “Really? I only heard you once though.”

I sat up as he walked closer to me and sat on the sofa opposite where I sat.
