Chapter Seventy-four

“You did not find Samantha in the hospital? But where could she have gone?” Moments after I called him and explained what was going on to him.

“I do not understand how those hospitals behave. The doctor just said someone had been staying with her and then he thought he was family so when he requested that she's fine to go home, there was little he could do because she was better.” I looked into the mirror to be sure Norah had not woken up. She was still sound in her sleep.

“Where are you now?”

“I'm on my way home. I felt it was best I take Norah home, rest then think of what's next to do about finding Samantha.” I fixed my eyes on the vehicle in front of mine as I drove, while receiving Alex's call.

Alex was speaking when I saw someone who looked like Samantha sitting in an open restaurant a few miles away from my home.

I looked at the person more intentionally to be certain she was the one. “I think I just saw Samantha.”
