Chapter Sixty -two

Annabelle pov

Henry called me to his office. We were supposed to have a meeting with our main investors so we could strategize on expanding our company's reach.

“Do you know that…” I was about to say when I noticed how he quickly turned off the television then I walked in with a questioning gaze.

He cleared his throat. “We should get going now. We don't want to keep the investors waiting.” He stood up and packed his file.

“Why are you acting all weird? What were you watching?” I wanted him to know I saw what he did so I questioned him.

“Annabelle, it's nothing.” He responded and walked past me. “Are you not coming?”

I shrugged, “Okay though. I'm coming.” I followed after him and we walked to the conference room.

The investors were all seated while we entered. They stood up, all at once to acknowledge us as we approached them. I always like it when they do that because many of them are older and it gives me a sense of honor as a woman.
