Yesterday, she had purposely taken a day off her online posting to put on an act. She made it seem like she'd had yet another emotional breakdown after being bullied, so she hadn't been in the mood to go online. Then, she stayed up all night playing games before sleeping until late in the afternoon.

Thus, she had no time to see the news that had gone viral online. She had no idea that in the middle of the night yesterday, someone named Lorraine Stewart had gone online and exposed Natasha for being a bully in high school.

Lorraine had been Natasha's victim back in high school. Initially, she thought about leaving the past in the past, but she saw Natasha faking the persona of being a protector of fellow women and a champion of feminism. She even saw the way Natasha became famous online for being a victim of campus bullying and the recipient of everyone's sympathy.

After seeing all that, she couldn't take it anymore.

Compared to Lorraine's clear, well-organized arguments, Natasha's self-defense was pretty messy and incoherent. She had no real proof I had bullied her and couldn't even find a witness to back her up. Furthermore, she never would've expected Lorraine to have those chat logs. All she could do was weakly claim the screenshots were falsified.Someone asked Natasha to publish her medical records, but she never suffered from any mental disorder to begin with. Things got worse for her when someone claimed to be her high school classmate and had a group photo with her to prove it. The person then went on to confirm that Natasha had indeed bullied others in school. The situation kept escalating, and at the end of the day, Natasha was merely 18. She didn't know what to do, so in her panic, she decided to just lie low and stop going online.Alas, she forgot that the online commenters' fury would only intensify with each passing day. They thought they were being bastions of justice and standi

  • My Dormmate Is a Weirdo   Chapter 1

During the first day of the semester, my boyfriend, William Evans, brought my luggage up to my dorm room for me.Out of the four of us who would share a dorm room, I was the last one to arrive. Once I finished unpacking my things, Natasha Tate, whose bed was across from mine, approached me with a stern expression."Tamara Sullivan, right? I don't think it's right for you to get a senior to help you carry your luggage around on the very first day of school. After all, it's better not to get too chummy with guys so soon. You should learn to keep an appropriate distance. If you feel bad declining his help, give me his contact information, and I'll pass on the message on your behalf."Turning scarlet, I awkwardly explained that William was my boyfriend and a fellow freshman at our university."Oh," Natasha remarked. She gave me a meaningful look before heading back to her bed. After introducing ourselves, we all chatted for a bit. It was already noon when William finished unpacking. H

Orientation camp started. As William and I belonged in different majors, he had to make quite the trip to come over to my side of the campus. We usually had our lunch and dinners together.Alas, every time that happened, Natasha would mock me, calling me a fool for not socializing with my peers to spend time with a guy instead. She even claimed I had no friends. In reality, I got along pretty well with everyone in my class, as well as Connie and Brenda. Whenever there was an announcement, they would inform me about it. Natasha was the only one who seemed to have a problem with me.Although she said it was for my own good, she did nothing but chastise Willian and me. She wouldn't even tell me about any last-minute changes to the class events or orientation camp schedules.Once, after a camp session, I took a bottle of water from William and only managed to take a sip before Natasha spotted me.Acting as though she unearthed all the proof she needed, she pointed at the drink William

Ever since then, Natasha and I barely ever interacted. To her, I was a love-addled fool who refused to listen to others. She often belittled me in front of our classmates while talking herself up. She said I was frivolous with my money, spending all of it on a guy. I was unlike the virtuous and hard-working her who spent all of her part-time earnings on herself.Natasha also said I dressed provocatively, unlike her who made herself look decent and sophisticated. She claimed I spent all my time obsessing over a guy while she focused all her effort on her studies.Eventually, the gossip got back to me. According to her, I was a rebellious, love-addled fool who stayed out all night and acted domineering toward others.Outraged, I left William and went back to my dorm room. I flung the door open, the loud bang drawing the attention of the surrounding classmates who carefully stole peeks in my direction.Natasha was the only one in the dorm room. I walked up to her and held my phone up

Seemingly overnight, I received a ton of private messages on one of my social media platforms. They were all from strangers who called me an ingrate and claimed I was a fool—a love-addled fool who didn't know what was good for me.Their insults left me feeling outraged and indignant. Amid my confusion, I saw a video Natasha posted. It turned out that she had been posting videos about me online, claiming I was her love-addled brain dorm mate who dedicated my entire life to my boyfriend. In her video, William was described as an average yet overconfident guy who was mean and miserly. I was the fool who argued with my dormmates over a guy.Meanwhile, Natasha was the kind and clear-headed one who adamantly tried to help me get out of my awful predicament. She claimed to have painstakingly tried to convince me to leave my boyfriend, but I was too muddle-headed. Not only did I not accept her kind gesture, but I even called her a lunatic. After her exasperated rant about me, she started w

According to William, this person named Tash added him on WhatsApp a while back. He assumed the account belonged to one of his classmates but to his shock, the person started a conversation with him by telling him to break up with me.Confused, he chose to blacklist Tash, but she refused to give up. She used several different numbers to add him once more, claiming that she had something extremely important to tell him.Out of sheer annoyance, William took her out of his blacklist and questioned her. She then told him in all earnestness that I was a succubus who would ruin his life, so he had to break up with me. She even claimed that he hadn't met the woman he was meant to be with yet. He was fated to be with a gentle and clear-headed woman.Finding Tash utterly strange, William decided to ask me about it.Everything Natasha sent involved putting me down while talking herself up. Ever since the day I hit Natasha, she became infamous on campus. Everyone knew she was the type to gossip about others behind their backs and also liked to compete with other women. They all started avoiding her like the plague. Now that she and I had completely fallen out, we barely spoke even when we were in the dorm room together. Every day, she would stay in her corner of the dorm room and secretly spy on me with a dark look on her face.On the other hand, I didn't care about her. I busied myself with my own life. The truth was out, and everyone came to reclaim their belongings. Seeing that things didn't look good for her, Natasha became agitated before fainting. Once she finally regained consciousness, she cried her heart out, saying she couldn't control herself. She also acted as if she wanted to jump off the building.Well, mental disorders could indeed affect a person's behavior, and kleptomania was an official mental disorder. In the end, Natasha was let off for her actions with a slap on the wrist. She merely received a stern talking-to and some additional counseling.Ms. Allen was put on the spot. I was the biggest victim of Natasha's actions, and Ms. Allen hoped I could forgive Natasha. She wanted me to be more understanding about Natasha's condition and quell the negative public opinion toward Argan University. But I knew full well that Natasha was perfectly fine.A kleptomaniac couldn't resist stealing from others, but Natasha wasn't like that. Initially, she didn't steal from Conn

Slowly, the uproar died down. While it was inevitable that I continued to hear gossip about myself and received insults from the people online who had nothing better to do with their time, it felt as if the storm had blown over. That continued until I gleefully showed my dormmates my new bracelet. "William gave it to me. It's from the latest collection, and it cost nearly two thousand dollars!"Connie and Brenda happily admired my bracelet, and I clearly saw the look of jealousy and contempt on Natasha's face as she stood behind them.Too reluctant to wear the bracelet around, I left it in my dorm room. But on Sunday, I tried looking for it, to no avail.Seeing how panicked I was, Natasha mocked me in amusement. "Serves you right for being such a showoff and an ignorant one at that! A simple gift like that from a guy was enough to send you into a tizzy. You can just ask him to give you another more expensive gift."The day I received the bracelet, Natasha had uploaded a video call
