Chapter 12

Cole was so excited to finally discover what made Brittany humble. Now he could torture her and make her disappear from his life for good. All he had to do was starve her and she’d leave. He swatted Brittany’s hands off the dishes and started stuffing all of it into his mouth. Brittany tried to struggle with him for a little piece but he gobbled everything down to her horror.

“You greedy pig! Can’t you share just a little bit of your food?” Brittany cried.

“You got paid, go to your house and buy your own meal” he said pushing her from the table. Brittany refused to budge as she fought back tears while staring at the empty bowls.

“Jeez Cole, is that how you treat your wife? They both turned around and saw Sean walking in. He joined them at the table and smiled at Brittany extending his hand for a handshake, Brittany sadly took his hand and shook it briefly.

“My name is Sean Rudolph and yours? I didn’t catch your name the other time” Sean said trying to soothe her.
