Chapter 5

Ashley's POV

Angel and I finished dinner. We got to know one another some more and she's actually pretty cool. It's 10pm Angel and I are sitting and watching a movie and dad's not home yet.

"I'm going to call dad to ask when he'll be home" I tell her getting up to talk in the kitchen knowing I might want to yell at him. She nodded in response.

Ring Ring Ring

He doesn't answer so I try again.

Ring Ring Ring

"Ashley why are you calling me now?" I could hear the annoyance in his voice.

"Oh I'm sorry am I disturbing you or something because if you have forgotten you have a wife that's waiting on you to get home" I whisper yelled at him not wanting Angel to hear.

I hear some ruffling on his end and a 'moan' I frown at this "dad please tell me you not doing what I think you doing?" I ask fearing to hear what he has to say.

"Look Ash I won't be home until after midnight tell her not to wait up" he said nonchalantly.

"I can't fucking believe you" I whisper yelled fighting back tears "you just like mother I can't believe you, Why are you doing this to a woman who has done absolutely nothing but adore you?" I asked with tears in my eyes.

"Don't fucking start that shit about your mother and what I do has nothing to do with you" he said with so much anger.

"Fuck you! I fucking hate you so much. I hope you can't sleep at night knowing what you doing is wrong" I say letting my tears fall " and don't you dare come home to your wife after fucking that whore" I said with so much anger inside me.

With that I ended the call. I can't believe he is just like mother fucking cheaters. Apart of me starts to wonder if what he said about mother is true, did she really cheat on dad or did he cheat and make her seem like the bad guy since he and I weren't that close at the time.

Before I went back to Angel I composed myself and wiped away my tears.

When I got to her she was sound asleep. She looks so peaceful. I smiled she must be so tired.

"Angel come on go to bed dad won't be home soon" I say shaking her a bit.

She opens her eyes and nods "did he say what time he'll get home?" I could see she's hurt that he's not coming home soon but I can't tell her just yet. I don't know why but I don't want to hurt her telling her dad is cheating on her this very second feeling absolutely nothing.

"Ashley" she waves her hand in front of me pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Oh sorry no he didn't but he said you don't need to wait on him" I said helping her up.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked nervously.

"Sure anything" I give her an encouraging smile.

"Has your father always worked late and left you home alone?" Looks me in the eyes searching for the answer.

"Yes he has but it doesn't matter because I was always out too" I said with small smile trying to lighten then mood.

She nods in response and walk up the stairs with me trailing behind her. My heart hurt at the thought of what my father is doing at the moment, this made me think about the girls I've slept with did they have partners too, because I don't do relationships Britney is prove of that.

With Britney I was head over heals for but right before our one year anniversary I found her fucking some dude at a party and I haven't dated since then.

Once again I was brought out of my thoughts by Angel waving her hand in front of me again. "Ashley are you ok you keep spacing out?" She asked with concern evident in her voice.

"Yeah I was just thinking, anyway goodnight Angel sleep well" I gave her a soft smile.

"Good night Ashley sweet dreams and if you ever feel like you need someone to talk to I'm always here" she said with a warming smile.

"Yeah thanks and same goes for you ok?" I said in a hyped up tone.

She chuckled "of course" and she entered her room.

I got to my room and fell on my bed exhausted from tonight's little episode with my so called father. I soon drifted to sleep.

I woke up hearing someone shout. It sounded like Angel's voice, I immediately jumped up and I saw the time on my dresser it said 5am and I ran down to her.

I got into her room to notice dad's not here yet but Angel looks like she's having a nightmare.

I sat on the bed and took her into my arms and started rocking her "it's ok Angel, it's just a nightmare" I rubbed her back "I'm here now there's no need to be scared Angel" I kept rocking her hoping it will help. That was until she started fighting me and got a pretty hard blow to my jaw. This is a pretty bad nightmare and man is she strong.

"Angel! Angel it's me Ashley it's ok it's just a nightmare" this time I'm trying to wake her.

"A-Ashley" she finally woke up, she held onto me even tighter and started crying. Fuck she's crying what do I do.

"It's ok Angel you safe now ok nothing can hurt you it was only a dream ok" I said trying to calm her

She kept on crying "b-but i-it felt s-so real" she said between sobs. "Do you want to talk about it?" I asked. She shook her head. With that we didn't talk again until she was calmed enough for me to leave.

"Come on Angel try and get some more sleep" I said making her comfortable on the bed while I got up to leave.

Just as I was about to leave she spoke again "thank you" I turned back and smiled "No problem Angel" and with that I went back to bed.

Man I wonder what her dream was about to fight me like that I pretty sure I'm going to have a bruise later in the morning.

And just like that I was out cold.
