The sunlight shone on Chloe’s face as she rose. she stared at her dad who was in a deep sleep and pulled his hand and kissed it.

She hadn’t done this in a while and it made nostalgia hit her. She placed her hands on her stomach and breathed in deeply.

“Chloe,” Mason croaked voice called, now making her dart her gaze to him.

Only then did John's eye flutter open, and pull back Chloe's hand, Chloe could swear she thought he was in a deep sleep.

“The company,” he whispered, she felt like yelling at him if only what he cared about was the company.

“You also need to take your sibling to school,” she bit her lip hard, stopping herself from saying hurtful things.

“Fine I will do it,” she yanked her hands away from him and he smiled painfully.

“My Assistant would put you through everything you need to know,” He could tell she wasn't happy hearing this, but he needed to make her learn faster, this was the only opportunity he had to make her inherit his company.
