I glanced at my phone where it sat on the center table. That was my twentieth time that day. Yep! I was counting. It had been a week since I had to move out of Xander's house. Since then, I have looked at my phone at least a hundred times— per day.

Waiting— just waiting for a call or message from him. I hadn't spoken to Bruce either. I told him to stay away after the picture thing happened. I couldn't have Xander thinking it was true and I had something to do with him.

I had lost both.

The light tapping sound which came from the door startled me as it cut through the quiet like a blade, jerking me away from my thoughts.

I sprung up to my feet from the couch. I had zero energy since Xander pushed me away but anytime there was a knock, my battery was restored.

I ran to the door to see who it was, my fingers crossed that it was Xander. You needed to see the disappointment on my face. The knocks were coming from the room opposite ours.
