Chapter 42 –  This Will Be The Last

(Lexi’s POV)

When I first stepped into the music room, my first thought was Lexa. She would surely like the aesthetic sense and the instruments inside the room. The luxurious space drew out a fresh vibe from the large windows, reflecting natural light from the garden. She would think of this place as heaven if she saw the room filled with musical instruments, the ones I remembered she liked to buy when we visited a music store to buy strings for my old guitar.

Angela gave me an envelope before I began my lesson with her children, and when she realized I was about to decline since I had to pay her back, she slipped it inside my bag that was sitting quietly on the side table.
