"You're still acting tough even at death's door, huh?" Alan shouted angrily. "Get him!"

At his command, the thugs charged at Frederick like a pack of wolves.

Celia screamed and covered her eyes, too frightened to watch.

The thugs were all burly and intimidating, and she couldn't imagine how Frederick could possibly stand a chance against them.

However, the next moment, Celia realized something strange. Everything had gone silent, as if the world had been muted.

Her mouth was agape as she slowly uncovered her eyes.

Alan's thugs were all sprawled on the ground—their condition unknown. Frederick hadn't even moved an inch, as his hands were still clasped behind his back.

Alan gulped in fear, and shouted, "So what if you're good at fighting? It's all about connections these days! Don’t run if you've got the guts! I'm calling my Dad to come over now! I've never been afraid of anyone in the Northern Frontier!"

Alan whipped out his phone, and dialed his father’s number.
