As soon as Frederick said those words, the atmosphere in the room instantly froze. The faces of everyone present turned dark and tense.

Felix erupted in rage, and slapped Wendy across the face. "You wretch! If I'm really infertile, then how did you conceive?!"

Wendy covered her face, and sobbed. "Felix, how could you believe the nonsense of a quack? Why would you suspect the people by your side? I've spent the best years of my youth with you!"

Gus quickly interjected, "Yes, Master, you're often away on business, and Madam is alone at home. She's sacrificed so much for you. How could you doubt her?"

"And is this man even a real doctor? He can't even produce a medical license!" Gus added skeptically.

Felix hesitated, seemingly torn between belief and disbelief.

With tears streaming down her face, Wendy continued, "Fine, you hit me for a scammer you just met a few minutes ago! I see how it is. I'm going to the hospital to terminate this pregnancy. Consider it a bastard child!"
