My heart was pounding harder behind my chest as my gaze fixed on those fangs again. Alice and Erik were still observing my response. Erik looked a bit worried, while Alice looked at me with a curious expression.

I swallowed my saliva to moisten my dry throat, it seemed like I was starting to feel thirsty. I needed a few seconds more to master the shock and a little bit of fear that slipped in. "How can you do that? With plastic surgery?" I asked with the most normal tone I could muster.

Alice pulled one corner of her mouth to form a crooked smile that made her look more charming. "Erik's teeth are all real," she replied with an admiring tone. "Although I've been waiting to see your scared expression, Mr. Lancaster."

I chuckled dryly. "Then, next time I won't hesitate to pretend to be scared so you won't be curious anymore."
