The Day Before …

“Have you thought about the steps you’re going to take?” Nicko asked from the center of the table.

Everyone stopped chewing and looked at him at the same time.

“Hey, who are you asking?” Gavin inquired, puzzled.

Nicko wiped his mouth with a napkin before turning to face Jaxon, who was still playing with his food. He didn’t care about the interruption. The man consumed twice as much food as usual. Making some of his friends nervous, means, Jaxon is preparing to hit them one by one after this.

Yesterday’s events nearly sent Danny, Connor, and Gavin to the hospital. That’s why the handsome faces of the Red Cage members were bandaged.

Danny would have been able to use crutches if Jaxon hadn’t been stopped by Nicko. Similarly, Connor had difficulty opening his mouth due to his cracked lower lip, and Gavin, on the other hand, was the sole survivor of that man’s rampage.
