"Did he say Da, as in Dad?"

Apollo asked several times. I think he was still smiling big while asking that question. as if he were the father.

"No. You just misheard—"

"Oh, come on. I know what I have heard—"

I quickly hung up and closed my eyes, feeling the nervousness. I held my chest and shook my head several times. When I opened my eyes, I was able to stand up while carrying Arkan.

"Baby, say Mommy first before saying Daddy," I muttered softly.

He giggled, which made me sneer even more. I don't think he will take my side and will still choose his father's grass!

That didn't just happen once. Many times. I don't think I ever heard him say Mama. even when he was already one year old. He rarely speaks. He was still looking mysterious, and sometimes if he stares, he is serious.

"Alice, I'm really going to sulk! Arkan is over a year old, but he still can't pronounce Mommy," I protested.

I'm almost in tears. This is a very big deal to me.
