The Safe

Slowly, I shifted my gaze to the opening in the wall, filled with curiosity. This safe held the codes to the largest and most sought after fortune in the world. Still, I couldn’t help but wonder why Sarah did not auction it to the highest bidder. I found it hard to imagine she had not thought of this. Even if she did not know where the codes led to, I was certain that most people in this city would pay hugely to get their hands on this.

Turning towards her, I grabbed her hand and yanked her towards the safe,

“What’s the safe lock code?” I asked, glaring at her.

Sarah heaved a sigh and walked in front of me, and inputted some combinations and then the safe opened up.

However, the contents inside were nothing like I expected.

“What’s this?” I asked with a deep puzzled look.

“That’s the code.” She answered earnestly.
