Mysterious Man

I kept looking at him to see any kind of distress on his face but he had an impassive look on his face, making it difficult for me to figure out what was going on in his mind.

"You have ten seconds to answer then I will pull the trigger" I muttered in a threatening tone but he didn't even flinch a bit. He was right when he said he wasn't afraid of death.

"One.. Two. Three." I clamped up when my eyes went on his shivering hand which he raised towards my cheeks. He kept it on my cheek and wiped the blood from the corner of my lips.

"Aah," I hissed in pain. That moron hit me hard.

"I---I'm so--sorry" he stuttered. I sighed when I saw his condition after seeing a minor cut on my lips. He can't be a man because of whom they all run. He is shivering after seeing a few drops of blood. A man like him can't be in the mafia.

"They must have misunderstood you as Lord Stan. Thanks to god we are safe" I dropped the gun and took a relief breath. It was a long drama of my life. Now I realise why my brother always forces me to go with my bodyguard. I turned my head towards Half-wit who was looking at me with a worried expression.

"I'm fine... Don't worry" He nodded his head and hide his shivering hand inside his pants pocket. I observed his face which had bruises and he was bleeding because of a minor cut on his cheeks.

"I'm sorry… You got hurt in everything" I mumbled. He nodded his head negatively and took his steps towards the car. He was limping. I rushed towards him and opened the car door. He sat inside silently. I sat in the driving seat and drove towards the hospital.

"What happened?" I asked when silence in the car started haunting me. Half an hour before he gave me a headache with his blabbering and now he is completely silent.

"Don't tell me this incident gave you trauma?" I asked when he didn't answer. I parked the car outside the hospital and looked at him, waiting for an answer.

"He slap you," He said looking down.

"I'm fine and why is it bothering you? It's not that I'm your lover." He looked at me abruptly. "I know the time we spent together was mind-blowing but don't forget we are just strangers to each other" He nodded his head.

"You're right. We are just strangers" He hopped down from the car before I would have said something and started walking towards the hospital. I followed him without saying anything. A doctor came running towards us.

"Miss Ivanna.. We are here to help you and everything is ready as you messaged us. Who is injured?" Doctor asked. I rolled my eyes. Can't he see a well-built six-foot man standing beside me? I pointed towards my lunatic who is giving me unnecessary silent treatment, freaking me.

"Please sir this way" He went in another direction with the doctor. I kept looking at his back until he disappeared from my eyes.

"Send the bill to my manager. He will pay you" I said to the nurse who was standing beside me. She nodded her head. I was in a dilemma about whether I should leave or check on a stranger once again. That's when my phone rang. It was from my brother. I cut the call, knowing he was going to give me a long lecture for putting my life at risk. It's better if I go to his office and show him, I'm fine. I turned to go outside, and that's when I heard my name called.

"Ivanna" I turned and found the stranger standing at a little distance. "Such a mean woman you're…  After making my life a roller coaster leaving me alone in this hospital" I look at him with an open mouth. Did he call me mean?

"Excuse me" I frowned and went near him. "I dropped you at the hospital and you're calling me mean"

"You drop me at hospital because you're the one because of whom I'm in this condition" He scoffed.

"You were drunk and walking in the middle of the road. It's not my fault. You should be glad my car hit you. If there was another person in my place he would have left you alone on the road to die" I yelled.

"Ma'am this is a hospital.. Please maintain silence" one of the staff members said politely. My blood boiled when he started laughing at the way the staff member stopped me.

"You... Stay away from me otherwise, I will surely shoot you next time" I growled and left the hospital before he would have exacerbated my mood. I unlocked my car. That's when my Lunatic stranger again called me from behind. I rolled my eyes and turned towards him.

"Ivanna" He again called my name standing at the hospital door.

“What?” I yelled.

"you forgot something" I scrunched my eyebrow at his words and went near him.

"You forgot to tell me when we are going to meet again," He muttered.

"I hope we will never meet again"

"Am I so bad that you don't even want to meet me again?" I nod my head negatively.

"Then?" He asked.

"because I don't know how I will react if destiny crosses our paths again. It's better if we stay like strangers" I mumbled.

"I didn't get you"

"I'm afraid you will awaken all the unwanted feelings in me that I buried a long ago" I thought but didn't say anything and turned to get back to my car.

"What the fuck?" I yelled when a thief entered my car trying to steal it.

"Stop" I ran toward him but it was too late. I left my car keys at the car door after unlocking it.

"Fuck" I cursed and glare at my lunatic stranger because of whom I lost my precious car. I was about to yell at him when we heard a loud blast. I turned and looked in the direction where that thief took my car.

"Aah" My stranger pulled me into his arms and hid my face in his chest. My car got hit by a truck which led to a blast. It was so disastrous that a terrifying scream escaped from my lips. He moved his hand on my back to calm me as I was shivering badly thinking what would have happened if I was in that car. I would have died.
