Alexander texted me to let me know he was at the front of the house. “I guess I’ll see you later,” I said goodbye to my mum and sister with a brief hug.

“I’ll come over to your house,” Amanda yelled as I walked out of the front door. I knew she wanted to talk about the pregnancy so badly but didn’t want to ruin the mood.

My mum and sister agreed to go to the hospital and threaten them with legal action if they tried putting my business out in the open. I didn’t have the time to do it because I had plans with Alexander.

As I walked out of the house, I saw Alexander’s car parked out front. I couldn’t help but feel nervous as he watched me make my way to his car.

I offered an awkward smile as I entered the car. “Hey, what’s going on?” I asked as I secured the seatbelt. “How are you doing today?”

Alexander let out a scoff. “Why are you acting weird? I’m good though.” He responded and I tried to steady myself. He was already getting suspicious. “How are you doing?”
