I dropped the kids off at school before heading over to the office. I had a meeting with a client who wanted us to plan their upcoming event.

As soon as I walked into the building, the receptionist told me that the clients had already arrived. I groaned inwardly as I climbed upstairs to my office.

They weren’t meant to come so early.

I stopped by my assistant’s office and she began apologizing before I could even voice out my frustration. “I’m sorry, I wanted to inform you about the change in time, but you arrived before I could text you.”

I rolled my eyes. “It’s okay. Are the clients in the conference room?” I asked and she nodded her head. “I’ll drop my stuff in my office and meet you guys in five minutes.”

After dropping my bag off at my office, I poured myself a glass of water before heading over to the conference room. I was excited to plan a new event because I hadn’t done it in a while.
