Allison’s POV

“Hi, babe,” Tasha said, as she stepped into the children's ward. “I got food for you.” She motioned to the plastic bag in her hold.

Earlier today, Aiden was transferred out of the ICU to the pediatrics ward.

“Thank you,” I managed a smile, and made to set the food aside only for Tasha to shake her head in negation.

“Eat that food, Allie. You haven't eaten for the past twenty four hours. Do you want to fall sick too? Do you think Aiden would be happy to see you like that?”

“But I'm not hungry.” I sighed, placing the plastic lap on my lap, as I stared at my son's sleeping form on the bed.

Upon getting to the hospital yesterday, I was informed that his heart disease had worsened, and that the pacemaker in his heart had also been removed and replaced with a newer one.
