Catherine’s POV

THREE MONTHS LATER

“Today is the day, Cathie,” I whispered, as I stared at my reflection in the mirror above the dresser. “You can do this, alright? So please don't develop cold feet.”

Smoothening the silk material of my team dress, I heaved a huge sigh as I felt goosebumps envelop me.

Tonight was one of the most important and remarkable yet sad nights of my life, as it was the day of my hospital opening dinner.

You read right.

I finally owned my hospital, which I named “Ophelia memorial hospital” after my late mother. A heart transplant center was also situated in the hospital for people who couldn't afford a heart donor, and I had named it “Dalton Heart Foundation Center”.

“Are you ready, baby?” Alessandro's voice boomed from behind, and I nodded, grinning at him.

“Yes, babe.”

“You look ravishing tonight,” My husband said, grey eyes glinting with admiration. “I'm almost tempted to make you postpone the opening dinner.”

Rolling my eyes, I huffed. “Don't be silly.”
