Leo’s POV

“Daddy, I beat you again!” Aiden shrieked out of sheer joy as he put the video game controller down and jumped happily.

“Nah, this is rigged. I demand a rematch.” I feigned fury, and Aiden giggled before grabbing the controller again.

“I'm so going to beat you again, daddy. Just watch.” He said, and I nodded before restarting the game again.

To my utter expectations, Aiden won yet again and this time, he jumped around the whole house like an excited kangaroo, his eyes scrunched up in a wide grin, and I couldn't help but feel relieved.

Ever since Allison left the country three days ago, Aiden had been extremely morose and sullen.
