A pathetic downfall

Leo’s POV

“Can you imagine killing your own parents at fifteen?” Allison asked, as we took our seats in the courtroom for the final hearing. “Just how brutal can one be to do that? I still can't wrap my head around the whole thing.”

“That's people for you, babe,” I replied, wrapping my arm around her and giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze. “They are extremely unpredictable. And as for Max, he is nothing but an entitled prick.”

“True, that he is,” She nodded then heaved a huge sigh as she burrowed into me. “I hope he gets what he deserves.”

“Me too, baby,” I said. “Me too.”

Barely five minutes later, the judges walked into the courtroom after it became filled with people again.

“After reviewing the various evidence that were presented,” The chief judge started, darting a disdainful gaze at a remorseless Max. “Mr Max Sanders has been found guilty of the murder of his adoptive parents, Mr Andrew Sanders and Mrs Zelda Sanders, as well as being the masterpiece of the MX cryptocurre
