CHAPTER 3

  wiped my tears and looked up. The sight that greeted me made her freeze on the spot. 

By the doorway stood not only Helen and her husband, but also Davis.. 

Davis had changed into a dark blue shirt and gray suit pants. 

Helen was worried , I could tell by the look on her face. but she decided against mentioning anything about moris. She quickly came up with something and said, 

"It started raining all of a sudden, so let's play golf another time, okay?"

Her husband took the hint and echoed, "Good idea! Let's play golf some other time. Mr. Davis can you give Sara a ride? I'm afraid Helen and I have something right after this."

Davis glanced at my red, teary eyes briefly. 

After a while, he finally nodded. "Of course."

Helen breathed a sigh of relief, but at the same time, she felt a bit sad and unease.

The poor girl had just been hurt by moris and now, she had no choice but to leave with Davis. 

It was a really windy day, and the rain showed no signs of letting up. On the contrary, the thunder and lightning were merciless. The parking lot was open-air, so went ahead to fetch his car. 

After a while, a golden Bentley Continental GT slowly pulled to a stop in front of me. I didn't have an umbrella, but I  didn't dare to ask Davis to get out of the car to hold an umbrella over me. The look on his wouldn't give any one that audacity.

I  rushed to get in the car, the rain pouring down relentlessly. Despite moving as fast as I  could, I was sopping wet, by the time I strapped the seatbelt on. 

Water dripping from my  hair, It made me  a little uneasy, fearing that Davis would be unhappy with me.

But then he  simply glanced at me. Without saying a word, he started the car. 

The club was halfway up the mountain. The drive to the foot of the mountain would take a while, and the air conditioner in the car was turned on. It didn't take long before I started shivering from the cold, my lips turning pale and blue. 

While waiting for the traffic light to turn green, Davis threw a coat to me and said, "Here."

I  thanked him with a nod. 

As soon as I put on his coat, I sighed in relief at the warmth. But he  didn't turn off the air conditioner. He was too busy monitoring the road ahead. 

It was a stormy day, so traffic was heavy in the city. 

Davis  lit a cigarette and took a long drag, asking casually, "How long have you been with moris?"

I  stiffened at the question. 

But I  had no reason to be dishonest. "Four years."

Davis  was a little surprised. After a while, his eyes wandered over to my  slender legs.

You have to do it for your father unless you want him to rot in jail, I laughed at her words cause I was filled with disbelief and confusion.

And you know tomorrow is the last day for us to pay.

Got tears roll down my cheeks.how can I marry a man I barely know about apart from his name.i was in deep pain.

Moris cheated on me and even planning to get married to his mistrees oh sorry I have always been the mistress without knowing and now.

Getting married to a man I know nothing about. God this was too much for me to bare.

The only person I could think if in a situation like this betrayed me maybe marrying Davis was a better idea.

Besides I have leaved all my life to please everyone in the house and was still like I never did anything.nobody cares about anything that has to do with me.

I sad and and almost cried my eyes out, you know what mom.

I will marry Davis, it was morning already I was ready for my new life. A life I never prepared for the wedding dress was absolutely expensive without any denial it was of high class.

We took our vows and went to davis mansion now Mrs Davis.

Even though I didn't love him I don't hate him either he suddenly stopped and said you should rest I know you need it with it was more of a command.

Someone is knocking at the door, madam good morning ma,am breakfast is ready you can come down stairs for it.

It was the nanny Mrs Ella, before I could wake up Davis already left home.he had a meeting to attend too.

I felt cold and weak tears run down my cheeks madam am sorry your husband is in coma and he has just a little chance of waking up.

I felt the impact of how he had touched me the night before and how my body couldn't resist him.

I was exhausted and needed to get home and freshen up.
