Chapter 1

Peterson's Mansion

"Good morning ma'am". The maids bowed. I walked past them without responding to their greetings. I remembered something then I stopped on my track... I turned back... Get me my notepad on my bed right. I ordered one of them... I started walking towards the stairs with my PA beside me.

Clip, clop, clip, clop. My shoes made noises on the pure spotless tiles.

"Ma'am you have a call" She called my attention.

"Who is that". I asked facing her.

"The Chanel designer". She replied, I stretched my left hand, she handed the phone over to me. I picked the call.

"Good morning Ma", A voice came out at the other end.

"Good  morning, why are you calling this early morning". I snapped at her.

"I  am sorry, I just wanted to inform you about the new designs available".

"Okay , i want a yellow and blue gown, I want about 15 footwears of different colors and 10 complete set of clothes with different colors" I ordered.

"Noted  Ma, it will be delivered as soon as possible".

"Make  sure of that". I hanged up.

"Maria pay them when the order arrives, then I have informed the jewellery Maker to deliver the new set".

"Okay Ma". She replied... Really how many times do I have to tell you to call me by my name, I am Tessa, Tessa okay". I half yelled.

She is like a second mother to me, she knows my taste, how I wanted things, I have corrected her many times to call me my name, but she won't listen, especially when my parents are around.

"Okay Tessa" She said smiling.

"Better".  I said rolling my eyes.

"Good morning Dad and Mom".  I greeted.

"Good morning my daughter". Mom hugged me.

"Good morning princess". Dad leaned forward placing a kissing on my forehead.

"What took you so long, we have being waiting for you for ages". Mom lamented.

"I  am sorry Mom it won't happen again". I said pouting.

"Oh baby it's nothing". She said hugging me.

"Let's  go to the dining already, I seriously hungry". I said walking towards the dining.

"Calm down princess, the breakfast is prepared already". Dad said.

"My baby looks beautiful today". Mom said drawing my attention.

"I am always beautiful, am I right Dad".

"Yes you are, you are the most beautiful girl l have ever seen". He said and I blushed.

"Thanks Dad, I love you". He pecked me

"You appreciated your Dad leaving me behind".

"Thank you mom, I love you".

"That's enough let's have our breakfast". Dad said, we headed to the dining together, we took out and sat on it respectively. Dad blessed the food and we started eating.

The maids served our plates with omelette and our cups with tea, with slices of bread.

"Mom don't you think we change the colour paintings of my room, it is getting dirty and unattractive". I said after total silent.

"I was also thinking we should change it, but I thought you still liked it the way it is".

"No I want a new one".

"It will be done over the weekend".

"Thank you Mom".

Elite College

I came down graciously from the car, I waved at Dad as his driver drove off. I walked through the tiled ground majestically.

"She is so beautiful".

"Oh my God, she is a goddess".

"How I wish she is my girlfriend". I smiled at this comment. It is never going to happen, ugly fellow. I said smiling at the boy, He frowns.

"She is a breathe seizer".

I heard students commenting, I smile enjoying the comments.

"Tessa, Tessa". I heard faint voices calling my name, I turned back to see my friends. Beatrice, Jerry and Erica. I stopped walking, I started laughing at them.

We are childhood friends, who stick together, if anyone of us have a problem, that means we have a problem. They are funny creatures, no matter how angry I get, they always have a way to cool me down.

"Where are you guys coming from". I asked immediately they got to where I am standing as they catch their breathe.

"You can't even pet us, so mean". Jerry said in a shaking voice.

"I can't pet you guys when I know you are up to something". I said and they exchange glares.

"No we are not up to something"..Erica said immediately.

"Then why were you running around?.

"We were rushing to meet you, yes rushing to meet with you". Beatrice said almost stammering.

"You were not, Jerry, please tell me the truth"

"Okay I will tell you".. they stared at him when he said that..."Why the looks, you know I don't want to receive a punch this morning too early".

"Am all ears JERRY". I stressed his name.

"We were coming from the garden"..."The garden?. To do what". I asked with tension attached to my voice.

"We went to watch a romantic scene between Lilly and Dan". Erica spoke.

"They were so rough on each other that they don't see us peeping". Beatrice said laughing.

"When Dan was about to turn, we ran off". Jerry said we all laughed.

"That's hilarious, I can't stop laughing, I thought she said her lips have never being kissed by any guy before". I said laughing hard.

"She is a professional in it". Erica said rolling her eyes.

"I can't wait to laugh at her, in the class. Sorry guys let's go to the classroom to wait for her". We started walking away from the spot.

"That will be a whole lot of fun". Beatrice said giggling.

"Wow this bag is very beautiful and expensive". Erica said almost screaming, Jerry shook his head.

"Yes it is, I got it from Rome yesterday".

"This bag is truly expensive, I saw it when I was searching for bags to buy, it costs $10,000". Beatrice said.

"Arrh, that's a lot of money, how I wish to have that amount with me now". Erica said putting up a sad face.

"Don't be sad, there is time for everything, my own time is come". I said laughing at her.

"Girls, girls look". Jerry shouted pointing somewhere, we all turned to the direction of his hand, it pointed on a blank space.

"What's that for". I said angrily.

"Nothing just want to divert your attention, you all just set me aside".

"You are so unbelievable, you are done for this morning". I yelled we chased him, he run faster than any of us. He is very good when it comes to athletes.

We run into the classroom, breathing heavily, my classmates up a worried look, when we rushed in.

"Nothing happened so stop starring at us, it won't do you any good". I shouted. They started turning off their faces.

Where is Jerry. Beatrice asked, as we all scrutinized the room with our eyes.

"Looking for someone". A voice said behind us.

"JERRY". We called in unison..."when did you get there". We said again.

"Don't remember when I got here, I know your legs are hurting right now, just take a sit and it will be gone". He said sitting down.

We stared in dismay. Don't look too much and get sitted already, He said winking at us.

"If not for the fact that I am tired, I would have strangled you". Beatrice said gnashing her teeth. We all sat.

The bell was rang, everybody started rushing to their various classes. A teacher entered."Good morning students".

"Good morning Mr Andrew". We greeted him. He teaches French, I so much hate that subject. I pay less attention in his class.

"Where did we stop in our last class. He asked flipping the pages of the book in his hand". We started doing the same time, most of us don't like his subject.

"Since nobody is ready to tell me where we stopped, we will start another topic". He said, we started murmuring. "There should be decorum". He screamed so loudly that I have to close my ears.

"He is so unbelievable, can't he figure out where he stopped, I hate him". A guy behind me lamented, I chuckled.

"The time is very slow today". Jerry checked his wrist watch. He continued... "why do we have to have French first and second period". He said putting his elbows on the desk, raising his chins up with his palms.

He started teaching. I couldn't hear all what he is bluffing, my eyelids started getting heavy forcing my eyes to close, I opened it widely, preventing the sleep, I couldn't, it became more heavier when I started hearing his voice. I placed my head on the desk.

"Tessa sit up you are sleeping".  Jerry whispered into my ears.

"Leave me alone". I said sleepily. I close my eyelids sleeping peacefully. I heard him sigh.

"Miss Peterson". I heard, someone tapped me. I forced my eyes opened, I saw Mr Andrew standing before me. Oh no not again I slept off.

"Be on your feet". He instructed. The student's attentions draw to me.

I staggered as I struggled to stand which causes the students to laugh.

"Why did you always sleep in my class. He  asked calmly starring at me". I simply rolled my eyes.

"I ask you again, why do you always sleep in my class". He asked almost yelling.

"Do you really what me to tell you why I always sleep in your class, then I will tell you". I paused... observing the atmosphere of the classroom. They all glued their eyes at me expecting me to say something. I continued.."You always make me sleep whenever you open that your filthy mouth to teach us, it usually felt you are speaking in Spanish. That bores me so much that I begin to wonder if there is any word greater than boring, then I will use it. I said rushing the words out of my mouth without taking a break. I finally take a deep breath. I felt fulfilled, I don't care whatever punishment he is willing to give me.

He walked out immediately... What just happened he didn't do anything, I expected him to detain me. I am very worried right now, I hate silent treatment. I frowned my face. The class became noisy, students started taking turns appreciating me.

Wow you are a superhero. A girl said tapping me, I quickly dusted her hand off, she felt so special touching me. I smirked.

You saved us all, I was expecting you to just keep mute. Beatrice said laughing.

Laughing gas, can't you stay a minute without laughing?.  I vent my anger at her, She frowns, I rolled my eyes, sitting on the desk placing my feet on the chair.

Yes, yes I saved us from his boring class, I am seriously worried right now, I don't know what is next line of action might be. I said dusting the chair and sitting on it. I am restless. I muttered.

"Don't be, I wondered when next he will come to our class". Someone said happily, I shot him with a dreadly look. ... Another teacher came in. It is Biology teacher, I love biology so much that I find pleasure in reading it whenever I am bored.

"Where did we stop in our last class?". He asked...why do they have to ask the same question.

"Reproductive System". I shouted from the back." All eyes turned to me again...why are you staring turn your f**king eyes to the teacher. I screamed. They withdraw their gazes away from me". Sighs.

"What wrong with you Tessa". Jerry asked whispering into my ears.

"Nothing, I just had a mood swing". I replied. He nodded, he focused his concentration to the teacher.

The teacher exit our class an hour later, we had two more subjects before we left for lunch.

The bell was rang for lunch. I happily stood up from my chair, I and my friend made it out of the class through the door.

"Thank goodness the bell was rang, if not for it, I would have died on the chair". Erica muttered rubbing her belly slightly and pouting.

"Foodie, you can't die, you will only faint". I said jokingly, we all bursted into laughter. She started blinking her eyes preventing the tears from coming out.

"Tessa why are you so mean, do you want this poor girl to cry now". Jerry mimick Erica voice. We bursted into a boisterous laughter which shifted other student's attention to us, we care less. Erica took in her lips biting it inwardly.

"I hate you guys". She said at the verge of tears before walking out. We laugh even more ignoring others.

"I couldn't stop laughing at your behaviour today". Beatrice said laughing.

"Okay, That is not funny". I stopped laughing,I hung my hands on my waist.

"It is, you really displayed in there". She said still laughing. Am out of here. I said walking away, Jerry followed.

"Let's go to the cafeteria, I know Erica will be there". I said while walking, he nodded.

We met Erica on a queue with four trays with her.

"Tessa, Jerry come help me with this trays". She shouted as soon as she sighted us.

"Why did you have to shout". I said winking at her. She shook her head in disappointment. I also shake my head too.

"Ladies watch don't let your heads fall from your necks". He said moving closer to her.

" Thank you". She said handling over two trays to him... "I will keep a space for us". I said going into the cafeteria, I spotted an empty space. "Thank goodness". I said walking closer to it. I sat down on it anticipating others. I spotted Ria and Angel coming closer to me, our eyes met, I rolled my eyes looking away.

"Can we sit with you". Ria asked already sitted.

"Your manners taught you to do things before taking permission". I snapped at her.

"My manners are in good conditions not like you, whose manner is to insult a teacher". Ria replied, smiling widely. I started feeling some heat in my body system but I calmed it down.

"Ria, Angel can you please stand up from those sits they are reserved for my friends". I calmly said.

"We agreed not to stand up, not until we are satisfied enough, am I right Ria". Angel said winking at me. This two are pains in my neck,   the anger started returning.

"Stand up right now before I do nasty things to you". I yelled banging my fist on the table, they flinched. Just then Beatrice grabbed Angel's hair from behind..."Are you deaf or something, get your stinking fucking ass off here". She said pulling it more harder.

"Argh we will leave". Angel manages to say, she left her hair, they pack their trays and left but not without them shoting us a bad look...

"You saved them". I smirked, sitting back.

"Tessa, I noticed you get easily angry lately, what's the matter with you". She asked leaning forward her ear.

Ria and Angel's table

"How dare she, huh, they think they have won by dragging my hair, no way I am going to avenge". Angel said fuming with anger.

"They will regret what they did". Ria said, her eyes landed on something.

"Blood". She shouted, Angel frowns.

"I am not in for your pranks, let just continue eating". Angel said ignoring her face expressions.

"Blood is gushing out of your head". Ria finally said, Angel touches her head, She felt a liquid in her hand, she shook her head not believing. She brought down her hand, she saw blood, she frightened.

"Blood, blood, blood". She kept repeating in shock.

"Calm down, let's go clean it up". Ria pull her up, taking to the restroom, she stood in front of the mirror, having a real view of the blood, rushing down, tears started tickling down her cheek,the spot begin to pain her,  she started sweating profusely

"Ria, she called, I am feeling pains".

"I am so sorry, she said,they wash off the blood". She applied some ointment to it.

"What about now". Ria asked, after she is done.

"Better, they are going to go through the pain I am going through". Angel said, they left returning to their classes.
