30. PREPARE TO BE ARRESTED

It took a lot more than the usual men at the white prison to hold me back this time. About ten to fifteen or thereabouts but I handled it fine and I made my way into the room my mother was kept in. Unfortunately, I only got to hold her stiff thin hands for a while, as I watched her sleep. The nurse that stood at the door quickly bailed once she saw me, probably running to go call for help against the hunk of a man advancing towards her.

I must have scared her away but it was good. Gave me enough space to be with my mom.

The heartbeat monitor showed that she was stable and finally, the bits of my heart that were scattered were pieced back together by hope.

Sadly, I soon had to go.

"Boss, there's no time. We have to go." Walter had said, coming into the room. I had left him outside battling the security men while I made my way inside, dealing with obstructions on my path myself. "If they are reinforced, we'll not be able to do a thing. Let's go. She will be fine." He added.
