CHAPTER 3: The CEO

CHAPTER 3

Summer vacation has started and I am here on my way towards Carter's Group!

Mom is really heartless for doing this to me. I can accept everything that she wants to punish me except from taking away my precious vacation!

I should have spending my 60 days in beach right now wearing my two piece with my beach hat lying on the sun lounger while sipping my orange juice together with the sandwich! 

Damn it! Whenever I am scrolling on my social media account I always felt envious when I'm seeing their post on how they are spending their vacation!

Damn it! I am fucking stuck here! It's all Jonathan's fault! Darn him!

"Ma'am, your mother is calling," the driver said. I winced. I turned off my phone so that she couldn't contact me! Of course she will call whoever fucking is with me!

"I don't want to take it!" I said irritably. The driver turned pale because he don't know who's command he will going to obey but I just rolled my eyes when he still answer his phone and turned it into loud speaker.

"Millicent Jaiyana!" Mom's voice almost break my ear drums. 

"What?!" I asked back.

"Why did you wake up late!? They are damn waiting for your for hours already and you're still on your way?!" She asked mad. I pouted and rolled my eyes. 

I already planned out everything. If Mom is so determined to put me in this situation then it's fine for me but I can't promise her that I would be good! I will never be!

It's for the preparation when the time comes that I would face my grandfather? I can face him every time I want! I can face him without this godamn set up!

My head is burning already even though it's still 10 am in the morning. 

"I had a long dream last night-"

"Don't make me a fool Millijay! They've been waiting for you since 8 and what time is it now huh?!" She asked very mad. I can imagine her face so red and veins almost exploding because of her blood boiling for me.

"Mom you have your watch in your wrist. Why would you ask me about the freaking time-"

"I'm so done with you Millijay!" She shouted and ended the call. 

I sighed heavily and rolled my eyes. I don't know how many times I rolled my eyes today. I should visit my doctor one of this days.

"Ma'am we're here," the driver said. I raised my brows and put my sun glasses on. I am wearing a black turtle dress above the knee. It's so fitted on me that everyone could see my curves. I am not the hourglass type of girl but I can say that I have curves already. And I am confident for it. Plus I have a beauty that every one could be envious of. A height of a beauty queen and a sophisticated ambiance that every one will be intimidated by my presence. That's the reason why men always asking for my hand on their bended knees. 

I have everything they all wanted. I am the girl they desires. So I'm sure that Chairman Adamson's son will also like me and won't mind about me being late because he would desire from this day on. I'm gonna curse him with my splendid beauty.

I walked with confident towards the entrance of the high and tall building in front of me. Because Mom is so eager to punish me she didn't gave me bodyguards. I thought she wouldn't give me a driver but I'm still thankful that she spare me with that.

She knows that I don't know how to drive. I tried learning it but I guess I don't have a talent with it because I always end up in an accident.

It's unfamiliar walking without the men in black on my back. But anyways, I'm still elegant without those because of my outfit today.

I entered the building and I immediately caught their attention. I think everyone stops for my arrival. I can feel my wavy hair dancing while I'm walking in the middle. The sound of my stiletto while I'm walking is a music to my ears. 

I stopped in the front desk and looked at her with poise.

"I am Millicent Jaiyana Hepburn, I'm the new secretary of the newly appointed CEO. Where's my office?" I asked with confident. 

The girl in the front desk immediately check her ipad or whatever and looked back at me. She seems nervous.

"It's on the 13th floor Ma'am," she said. I just nodded and left.

Everyone make a way when I entered the elevator. I can't help but to smirk. I always loving this kind of fear from the people around me. I think I'm gonna love every arrival that I will make in this company.

The elevator opened in the 13th floor and I walked straight towards it. I surveyed the whole floor and I noticed that it's so huge. In the right wing is a cubicles for the employees in the left wing is a black door. 

I raised my brows and walked towards that door. I was about to open the door when someone talk behind me.

"Miss Hepburn?" I turned to her and I saw a woman in her 40's maybe?

"Yeah. That's me," I said and put the sun glasses on my head. Her eyes level is just on my nose because I'm tall but she looks formal and professional. 

"I'm Jane Reese and I am the Chairman's secretary. I am here to guide you throughout everything since you're still new," she said and offer her hand for a hand shake. I raised my brows and crossed my arms, not taking her hand. Her smile faded.

"I'm not here for you to guide for whatever that is. I'm here to meet the CEO," I said and looked at her with my narrowed eyes. 

Because I am not going to work! I'm sure when that CEO take a look at me he will probably make me his queen and do all my biddings! He will fall for me immediately and boom! I'm gonna finish this fucking punishment without a sweat!

I'm gonna use my beauty for this.

"H-Ha?" She doesn't get it. I rolled my eyes and walk gracefully towards the cubicles and touch the things I really doesn't understand. There's a painting, miniatures and other uninteresting things!

"Miss Jane Reese. I am a Hepburn. You think I'm gonna work like what you're doing? I'm sorry but it doesn't suit me. Look at me and tell me if I'm fit to do that work?" I said and looked at her. I swayed my hair and looked at her with my modelling pose.

Everyone is watching me. I think I disturbed them from working because of my loud voice.

"B-But..."

"I know. I'm beautiful right? That's the reason why being a secretary isn't for me! Just let me meet the CEO and I'm sure that even him will be amaze by my beauty!" I said and kick the trash can I saw.

Their jaw dropped because of what I did. I smiled and stared at the trash that's now spreading all over the floor. 

"Opps! Sorry!" I said with my gorgeous smile. 

"Miss Hepburn-"

"Are you gonna scold me?" I asked and lifted my hand to stop her from talking. Her eyes became cold. Maybe she's now irritated with me. Who cares?

I smiled when I saw what she's holding. It's a folder. I took that away from her and opened it.

"Miss Hepburn! That's an important documents-"

She stopped when she saw what I did. I put the folder inside the aquarium. The fishes stopped swimming because of the folder.

"I'm really sorry-"

"What's happening here?" 

I stopped when I heard a familiar voice from my back. Everyone went silent. Jane Reese bowed her head to pay some respect for whoever entered the scene. I smirked. Maybe it's the CEO?

I'm wearing my wide and mischievous smile when I face him but my smile faded when I saw the man!

My eyes widened in shock and the memories of that night where I fell in that fucking fountain came back!

"My secretary is here...and creating a shameless scene," he said mocking but with a darker tone. I don't know why my heart suddenly reacted by just seeing him here. I baled my fist and digged all the anger I kept for what he did to me that night!

And what the fuck?! He is the CEO? The Chairman's son?!

"You fucking bastard-"

"Bring her on my office. Now!" He said darkly and in just a minute his men pushed me towards his godamn office!

Damn it! I can feel his employees watching us. His men pushed me towards his office and locked the door. I heaved a heavy sighs and saw him undressing his coat and putting it on in the back of his swivel chair. 

"You're the fucking CEO?" I shouted in anger. He craned his neck and looked at me with his cold eyes. I can feel the ice the way he looks at me. What's with him? Why is he so intimidating! I've never got intimidated by someone! This is the first time I felt this!

"If you don't want to be here you don't have to create a scene and prove a point. Why don't you just leave this place in piece?" He said arrogantly. My eyes widens. My lips parted. 

My plan was to make the CEO blinded by my beauty to make this work finish easily but why do it have to be him! 

And I just can't believe that he told me those things! How dare him! Of course I can't leave this place because of my mother! 

"You're the one who don't want me here! If you don't like me to be your secretary then fire me!" I shouted. I almost lost my voice with that shout. He raised his brows and crossed his arms in a manly manner. I can see how his muscles flexed inside his polo. His veins on his arms are protruding that indicated that he's been doing work out.

"Are you challenging me?" He asked and smirked evilly. I got flabbergasted by his question especially now that he's walking towards me. But I never step backwards because I want to prove that I won't ever back down! Even on him!

"If you can fire me then fire me!" I shouted, hiding the nervousness inside me. 

I don't know why my hands turned cold while he's stepping towards me. I can feel the loud pounding of my heart inside my chest. If I can stop what I'm feeling right now I'm gonna do it!

"Y-You arrogant bastart! You can't-"

I stopped mid air when he pulled out his phone out of his pocket and dialled a number. 

"Mrs. Hepburn?" My eyes widened when he said that.

Darn it! Fuck! Fuck! Just fuck him!

He smirked evilly and turned on the speaker while I'm glaring at him sharply.

"What is it Farris?" Mom's voice surrounded the whole place.

"You're...daughter...is-" 

I immediately took his phone and hang up the call. I glared at him but I only see him smirking like he just win a championship.

"This is just the beginning you freak!" I shouted and I was about to turned my back on him to leave when he suddenly grab my wrist that made me bump on his chiseled chest!

My eyes widened in shock and for whatever reason my heart went wild for the sudden touch of our skin!

"W-What the hell are you doing?!" I shouted and was about to pull out but he tighten his grip on me.

He went close on my ear and I got goose bumps when I felt his hot breath on my nape. Damn it!

"You have plans on stealing my phone?" He whispered. My lips parted when he suddenly took his phone away from my hands and left me there standing.

I can't believe it! I felt so stupid! I don't fucking accept it! 

Damn you!

"This day is your first day at work. If you leave right now I'm gonna tell it to your mom. If you did something awful and disturb the whole company...you won't know what I can do to you. So...I suggest you to just accept the fact that you are stuck here...being my secretary," he said without emotion on his face. 

He sit on his swivel chair and opened the folders in front of him.

This is damn torture! Who is he to blackmail me like this? Am I going to let him control my life? 

No way! I won't let him! For fucking sake I'm not here to be anyone's slave!

"Asshole!!" I shouted at him and walked out not listening to him.

I walked out with my chin up while I can feel their eyes on me. Well, I created a fucking scene who wouldn't look at me?

I just realize that it's fucking embarrassing! Damn!

My phone vibrated for a call. I saw the caller and it's mom. I sighed heavily and accept the call while I'm walking towards the exit of the building.

"Why are you leaving Millijay?" Mom asked mad. I rolled my eyes.

"You told them my situation! Did you tell them that you're punishing me?!" I asked frustrated. 

"It's the only way for them to accept-"

"And they fucking said yes?!" I asked so mad now.

"The chairman said yes-"

"But I bet his son didn't?! Of course he would say no! This is fucking ridiculous mom!" I almost shouted.

When I got out I waited for my car to arrive.

"Go back to the company and do your task Millijay! Don't make me come to you and scold you in front-"

"Go ahead! I'm immune to the embarrassement mom!" I said while waiting for the car. Why is it so late?! Damn!

"I don't want to do this to you but you're really making me reach on my limits. I'm gonna cut off all your cards and even trust funds! No one will serve you! No driver, no car and money! You have to work to provide for your needs!" She said that makes me stunned.

What the fucking hell?!

"Mom?!" I shouted that made the security guards of the building look at me.

I can't believe it!

"You're not gonna do that to me Mom!" I said feeling so frustrated.

"I can Millijay, try me," she said and hang up the phone.

I called the driver but he isn't answering! Even the landline in the house! My bank accounts already emailed me about my cards being cut off! My eyes literally widened. 

Is this really happening?! 

I baled my fist and even though I don't want to go back I have to or else I'm gonna starve to death!

I felt like I am carrying the whole world. I didn't expect that it will happen. I feel so devastated, frustrated, irritated and very mad! Darn!

I sighed heavily and knocked to the forsaken office. 

"Come in," his baritone voice filled my ears.

I sighed heavily and opened the door. I saw him in front of his laptop, working. He raised his brows when he looked at me. I really want to punch his face!

I sit in front of him and looked away. I hate to say this but why is he so handsome?! 

"What's with your face?" He mocked.

"Shut up!" I spat. I rolled my eyes and stared at his name that was written under his table.

CEO, Farris Gabriel Carter.

"How much would be my income while working here?" I asked without further ado. I looked at him and I suddenly hate his evil grin.

I'm not yet finish Mr. CEO. I'm gonna have my revenge and you will gonna regret it!
