Chapter 56

GAVIN'S POV

I arrived at my father's house and when I entered, the old man shared company with his liquor. I glanced at my wristwatch, it was only past 12 in the morning.

“You could have mated a liquor instead of mum.” I spat out, my voice tinged with sarcasm and disgust.

My father turned to me, a smirk on his lips. It reminded me of myself, but I was far different from him. We shared different personalities, at least I knew how to treat a woman better than he could and I wasn't an alcoholic freak like he was.

“Sit down Gavin. We need to discuss your wedding. It is taking a lot of time for you and Iris to come up with a date.”

“If you both are too busy to do that then I am most willing to help.” my father offered, and I sensed more than the alcoholic smell coming from his mouth. I sensed he was up to something, why did he want the wedding to happen so quickly?

I furrowed my brows in confusion. “It's my wedding. Not yours, father. Iris And I would decide on a date when the time comes.”
